The bottom of the thimble doesn't allow sufficient air to pass through (only one spot on the bottom actually seems to allow fluids through). This combined with the fact it is a centimeter shorter than it ought to be means the solvent level in the thimble is higher than that of the extractor chamber and syphon. So my sample, which floats, would overflow before the syphon activates.

Habe es jetzt verwendet im soxhlet prozess. Wenn man aber das zu Extrahierende nicht ordentlich stopft kann es vorkommen das es dann in der Kapillare landet und diese verstopft, also möglichst noch ein stück Filterpapier oben drüber und mit reinstopfen dann gehts super. Wurde auch einwandfrei in der Spülmaschine wieder sauber. zum Stopfen hat ein Plastikschraubverschluss einer Wasserflasche genau die richige Größe.
