Does it come with the 2 slices of pepper?

Yes, those exact 2 slices. They're like a perpetual cup though so you need to return them immediately so someone else can have them.

I'm worried that these have a 'bump' in the middle so that the oil sits at the sides, not in the middle. Tell me its in the middle too?

I have two circulon fry pans, the smaller has a slight rise in the middle, if you overheat a pan the base centre will be hottest & expand more and it must go UP to accomodate the expansion. Some of this force can stretch the metal permanently. So don't overheat them, which I must have done sometime. My circulon egg poacher (only sees water at 100oC or less !) and the big pan are stlll flat. Note all my older teflon and ceramic lined fry pans are domed in the middle. Circulon are the best.

Does it come with lid?

No but I bought one from amazon for my 28cm and 30cm without any trouble. Simples.

what is the non stick coating please. I am looking for something that is non teflon non ptfe.

My understanding is that it's a non-stick anodised aluminium. i.e. Completely non-toxic. It's definitely not teflon - it looks totally different. It's also extremely tough and works way better than any other non-stick coating I've ever seen.
