Really good tool for the money
Bought it because I needed a smaller circular saw for cabinet making, definitely worth the punt. It’s been sawing up 18mm ply for the past 3 weeks. Tough little tool. Powerful, efficient, nice and light but seemingly very robust. It hasn’t missed a beat!Easy to cut straight lines freehand. Limited run time on the single battery it came with. I bought a aftermarket 4.0Ah battery on Amazon. Works a treat..Only downside I can think of is that you can’t store it in the case with the blade attached, bit boring but not a deal breaker.

Easy to use, Good Battery, recommended
To place some context I am a DIYer not a professional wood worker, that said I’ve found the saw battery lasted very well making a bed and headboard. The saw is light, the blade is very easy to change, providing you note the direction arrow on the nut that clearly tells you which way to turn it, the saw comes with battery, saw guide, dust extractor size adapter, 3 blades for wood plastic ceramic and metal, I found the Bosch dust bag (£27 from Amazon) from my Bosch electric plane fits with the adapter supplied although it’s a bit cumbersome, the provides a good clean cut, the case the unit comes with is good quality and will stand up to abuse in the back of a van,I like that the saw stops almost immediately when you release the button, overall safety is very good, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the saw lacks a laser which would be helpful, but I does have a very bright led light the comes on with a light touch of the button. I’ve used the saw with an edge clamp too and it worked well. As I said I am not a professional, someone who uses the saw on a regular basis may give a more informed review for using in that environment. I am a little hesitant to say how many metres the battery lasts as I haven’t had to charge it yet, oh and it really handy to take to the big box stores and cut lengths of timber to a manageable size to transport home in my car. Just do research to make sure the model you want if a laser is required

Tricky To Operate it Easily .
I bought this today as I thought it would be useful around the house .It seems well made but I won't know until I have used it more to see how long the battery lasts .I already have a Circular Saw and when using that one you put two hands on it to activate the two step safety switches and when you start to cut the blade guard slides up and allows the blade to meet the wood. This saw works in a different way ....the one hand ( right in my case) operates the two triggers to start the saw but you also need to press in a section and at the same time pull up a hook to release the guard hiding the blade which allows the workpiece to be cut . ...and I find that tricky ....Is there a knack to do thisEDIT :I think I have sussed how to deal with holding the saw and pulling up the sole plate at the same time so it should get easier in time ...not the best designed feature tho'I tried it out to cut a piece of laminate and I was using the parallel guide and the guide height means the laminate can fit in the gap so thats no good for thin wood unless I can adapt the guide ....possibly by glueing on another piece of wood or plastic .I was also going to say that somewhere to "park" the Allen Key would be useful but it might sit to one side of the sole plate .Otherwise I have no complaints but time will tell

Really good and handy tool to have
Its a really good tool. I have used it a few times now (mainly cutting through ply board) and it handles all my jobs with ease. Its not heavy and fits in the hand well, really ease to just slot the battery on and away you go rather than having to hunt out and set up an extension cable and unravel the tool cable.Another really good tool to add to my Worx collection.

Lightweight, easy to use, good DIY tool
Revamping all my decking to better accommodate a large hot tub. Needed a circular saw but did not want a large, mains one. I already have a WORX drill driver that has been an excellent piece of equipment so thought this would be a good opportunity to get more WORX battery compatible tools. First off, it’s light, only cuts to 41mm depth at 90* but that was fine for me. Comes in a decent case which I like, however, the blade has to be removed when storing in the case. Talking of blades, it comes supplied with 3 in total, only used the wood cut blade so far but it’s very good. Now, it is a battery saw, do not expect a full day out of one battery! Having 3 batteries in total, as I have, means no downtime. It comes with a fast charger so just swap out the flat battery with a fully charged one, place the used one on charge and off you go. Like most, if not all circular saws, there is adjustment to ensure a proper 90* cut, so a little time spent setting the blade is worthwhile. 0* to 45* cuts are available although this reduces the cutting depth. A work light comes on when using the saw and the blade also stops very quickly when switching off. I’ve found it extremely useful, don’t force the blade, let it do the cut by itself (as you should with any power tool such as a drill) Overall I’m happy and may invest in a higher amp battery. Available as aftermarket replacements as well as WORX. This will give a greater range of use before recharging. For DIY applications, it’s great and possibly for some trades too as it is compact. Nice to have in the toolbox.EDIT; think I spoke too soon. Only this morning, the saw developed a fault (2 weeks after purchase) despite fresh/new batteries, the blade will not spin. LEDworklight flashes when battery connected but no movement from motor. Spinning the motor by hand, with battery off the machine, I could hear and feel that the motor wasn’t engaging properly as if a gear was out of alignment? Tried troubleshooting with Amazon, who were amazing to say the least. They even managed to connect me directly with WORX customer service! Without me ringing them via the live chat facility which I started off with. Anyway, WORX said it needed returning as there was obviously a fault beyond telephone diagnosis. 3 year warranty but first year via Amazon so have returned for a refund. Perhaps I have just been unlucky here. I’m resting my 5 stars for excellent customer service both from Amazon and WORX as they were great. The product itself, whilst it worked was perfect for my needs, perhaps a replacement would fare better.
