Anpro Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Strainer Plug 78 mm

Thank goodness, finally a replacement plug that fits my sink and strains properly. After the bottom came off my original one and was lost down the drain, I set out to buy a replacement. Surely they're all pretty standard, I thought. Are they hell! This is the third one I've bought. One was very well made and lovely looking (Savisto) but slightly too large and the stem that goes down the plug hole far too long, so it wouldn't actually plug the sink. Another was the right size but cheaply made, flimsy and, most problematically, plugged the sink whether I wanted it to or not - its straining ability was almost nonexistent. This one is just right.Buyers should note, however, that the length of the stem that goes in the plug hole is actually more like 30mm than the 25mm shown in the photo with dimensions. Luckily this was fine with our sink but it may not be for everyone. The listing should be corrected.

I must admit that I was a little sceptical in the beginning but if you follow the instructions and measure it correctly, it will be a perfect fit! I have a double sink and I was overjoyed to finally have strainer plugs that fit and are right for the purpose intended. I recommend it!

Works great, arrives in parts that need to be put together, the instructions where just pictures, but were so small not all parts were obvious.Easy to use and clean, the only thing I would say this is size specific to the plug hole so make sure you buy the right size.

Nothing is particularly 'wrong' with it. Came in a pack of parts to construct before use. My main problem is that these are a little too ready to seal the plug hole. I think they are little undersized and sit low in the hole (see picture in-situ in our dirty sink). Drain a bucket into the bowl and this plug just self closes meaning you have to reach in and pull it up to drain. It sometimes then seals again under the flow. However, the seal, when you want it, seems reliable enough to fill and hold water in the bowl. Ball bearing restraint seems too far up the stem so when it's open it is barely open; leading to the problems above. Smarter than our old gaping plug hole and we can now fill the sink, but not quite right.

Excellent replacement for my Howden’s stainless steel kitchen sink. Part of my original one became loose and washed down the sink. This looked to be a good replacement at a good price. It fits my Lamont sink perfectly. I’ve ordered a second one as a spare too.

The drainer fitted and does its job as I measured the size according to existing drainer.) However the suction when pressing the drainer into the outlet recess is not as strong as the original which has an addition rubber seal. When posted, it arrived on time but the stem of the drainer protruded out of the flat card envelope used in dispatch!! No damage though from transit so happy.

I replaced my plug because the rubber seal had come away from the chrome plug. This looked identical and when it arrived I was really pleased as it was robust and seemed to fit the bill. But, it does not actually stop the water from going down, and so it isn't a plug, it's just a strainer (even though it is called a "strainer plug"). This is odd, as it fits my plug hole snugly, but the rubber seal is smaller than my old one, which I assume is the problem. I have heard from the seller who has refunded me in full without me having to return it which is impressive.
