My open and I changed battery few times since I bought this. I really like it. I have no problem with this product at all.

FFS!! Finally found it 🙄 trying to post picture but not working. I tipped it on it's back so it was flat on table and in good lighting I finally saw the "open |》" sign (translucent writing on transparent background is admittedly very difficult to see!!) Opened painfully easily once I'd spotted it!! Where you can see the 3 springs at left / bottom of the compartment, stick your thumb in the middle and slide to the right!
