Hardens VERY quickly so only put a thin layer each time
I needed some of this filler for a model Spitfire (what else?) and it worked very well indeed. I needed to fill the indent where there was an option for a stand underneath and one bit where the fueselage and lower wing didn't look quite right. I put too much on and because it sets as you apply it, was quickly left with a smal lump. I removed this with some P1000 grit silicon carbide paper and after the paint was applied it was as good as I could have hoped for. I also wanted the wheels up, but there was no option in the kit for this, so I simply glued the wheel and cover in place leaving a small hole where the assembly would hinge from in the wing. Again, filled and looked perfect. Altogether a great product when you like to modify or finish a plastic model.

Excellent plastic filler if pricey
Perfect gor filling gaps in plastic. Easy to sand & shape. Quick drying. Pricey for what it is, but does the job!

Wonderful product
As a 3d printer/designer this is a must have product, I’ve sealed gaps and sanded down to the point of perfection.

Perfect filler
This was the first time for me buying and using this product. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to how good it is. I have been building models for many years now and having previously worked in the automotive repair trade I use to buy small fine-grade filler. This time I opted to buy this product. Using a small piece of plastic as a spatula to apply the filler, I also used it to churn the filler after I pumped some onto a piece of card. With some premixed filler products the oil within the product can come to the surface so a light churn of the filler once pushed out of the tube will help. It was easy to apply and once dry very easy to sand with fine grade paper (320 grit) followed by 1000 grit wet & dry for a smooth finish. The only down side to the product is that if using in the heat that we have been experiencing this summer, the filler will go off quickly. Bear that in mind if using for the first time and only use small amounts so not to have too much waste.

Really good model filler. Fills all types of plastic and metals.
Best filler I've tried yet. It hardens well and covers with both acrylics and enamels.

Great stuff in the tube, but large amount of waste created to to get to it.
Odd stuff to apply. Sometimes dry paste comes out, other times it's swamped with oil. The oily stuff is amazing to use, sets fast, really fine sanding is possible, good enough working time - recommend for that. Just needs to be better mixed in the tube so you get a consistent dose out of the nozzle. Will look for alternatives when it runs out, but happy to re- order if I don't have time to research this. If this stuff was a car it would be a bmw - great when it works, but doesn't do that every time.

It's OK good filler but ...
It's good stuff but but a huge blob of clear liquid comes out with the filler which is not always ideal, especially when you only need a small amount of filler to fill a small gap .. when this happen I mix the filler with the liquid like epoxy glue this also slows down the setting time making the filler more manageable.. but it's wasteful and annoying, some times the filler comes out without the liquid and then it dries way too fast

Shipping and price were what caused me to order this product originally, as I had never used this brand before. In preparing to order a second tube, I read through some other reviews that had low marks. It almost seemed like a different product. Aside from shipping and price, my use of the product encountered none of the difficulties I read in other reviews. The product required no kneading or special tip, I encountered no 'watery' substance, the product came out of the tube so well that I needed nothing to assist. I applied directly to the low spots and divots, using only the blunt end of the tube. Adherence was great no additional sanding was necessary, and after waiting an appropriate time for drying, direct sanding worked well both with 100 and 220 grit. Building up with additional coats worked well. I don't want to mention B*no, Test*rs, and JB *eld by name, but this product worked much, much better in all aspects (or I wouldn't be ordering another tube). Thanks to Humbrol for a great product!

This is my go-to filler for scale modelling. Doesn't dry gummy like other products, and is very easily to sand. My only gripe with it is it doesn't have much of a working time - the filler starts to coagulate and spot-dry as soon as you apply it to a surface.

Easy to use, plenty of time to fill and spread.

Habe soeben diesen Spachtel ausprobiert.
