CoscoBoxGuard®, Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Outdoor Storage & Delivery Box, 55 Gallons, Aluminum, Gray

Bought this box on Mar 1st 2023 and installed at my office to receive packages after hours in when business is closed. Box came as promised and was easy to assemble. Three months after using box the lid snapped off,. (Look at pics) lid is plastic and not aluminum, like the other parts of box. This is a major design flaw of the box, as the box has only been opened and closed less than 30 times. I emailed the seller and they seemed very nice and i received a email from Kelly and she said “they would get back to me in 24-48 hours”. I received a email from the “claims lead” person Jena and she needed another description of how it broke. (After i had already sent the description of what happened and pics to Kelly) I again sent pics and told her “i just opened it up and it broke.” She said “she will submit my claim and get back to me in 24-48 hours” I have reached out to Jena 4 days after her response and no reply. Now it has been 7 days and I still haven’t heard anything back from COSCO. All I want is them to send me a new top so I can use my box again. I wouldn’t buy from this company again! No follow up with customer and no customer service! BUYER BEWARE!!!

I love everything about this storage box. It is very well designed and the hardware is of high quality. Assembly was easy…just pay close attention to getting panels right side up.

I love this size of this box and it was completely waterproof but after a month or so the lid broke, it just completely came apart. I was able to repair it but it just kept separating and it finally cracked and broke completely. I still use the box, I just had to take the lid off completely so now it's just an open box.

We originally bought the plastic version which was knocked over by a light wind twice and broke apart. Needed to put bricks in the bottom as even a light breeze knocked it over when empty. So I upgraded to the metal version which is much sturdier, but the lid is only held together with crimps which failed after 2 weeks. Called Mfgr who said a replacement lid is not available so we re-crimped it and will see how it lasts. It’s a lovely box but is poorly engineered. We bought a third one (also metal) but are sending it back because for the price it should last more than a week or two.

I am so so sick of companies selling cheap crap that breaks super easily. I went with this more expensive box in hopes of getting a higher quality material. But nope, it was crap. Bent easily. Cracked on day one.
