Miles above similarly priced options
I've been using lavazza qualita rossa as my daily coffee for a while now but needed to cut back costs, decided to try this out after seeing some reviews mentioning it was good for the price, I think that's underselling it, I think it's a nice cup of coffee full stopDidn't know about the brand, assumed it was an amazon brand but upon looking it up I found out they're a supplier of la place, a Dutch restaurant chain that has good coffee (and the Netherlands knows it's coffee)It's great, just overall a very deep tasting and smooth coffee and one I want to drink at any time of the day, it's also a coffee that works however you make it, I've made it black with not much sugar for people and they've loved it, myself, I make it with whole milk and sugar, occasionally as a Latte and it's also capable of being beautifully creamy and richBare in mind though, this is coming from someone who tends to prefer robusta arabica blends than 100% arabicaThat said, even if you typically avoid robusta I'd recommend giving this a try, I find it to be a more layered and deeper tasting coffee than a lot of other mainly robusta coffee I've had, not as harsh, more mellow tasting while still having a nice strong flavorEven if this had been the same price as the coffee I'd been buying I'd have been happy with it but for £9 pounds a kilogram it's crazy good for the price and I'm happy to have found a new daily cup of coffee that's cheaper than what I was using but isn't sacrificing the tasteCan't recommend it enough

A Balanced and Sustainable Coffee Worth Trying
I recently tried Pelican Rouge Concerto Coffee Blend and was impressed by its quality and taste. The beans are roasted to perfection, resulting in a smooth and well-balanced flavor that's perfect for starting the day. I was so impressed by the coffee that I decided to sign up for the monthly 'subscribe and save' option offered by Amazon. What I appreciate most about Pelican Rouge Concerto Coffee Blend is its versatility. It can be enjoyed as a hot or cold drink, and its flavor holds up well in lattes or other coffee beverages. The fact that the beans are sustainably sourced is also a plus, as it aligns with my values.Since signing up for the monthly subscription, I've had the pleasure of enjoying the coffee on a regular basis, and it's become a staple in my morning routine. Overall, I highly recommend Pelican Rouge Concerto Coffee Blend to anyone looking for a high-quality coffee that's both delicious and ethically produced.

Good roast flavour... no chocolate aftertaste.
Lovely... I like a strong roast flavour.. Bang on.These are the 1st beans I've found to give that. (Other than some Lidl espresso that came close)...I've not bought expensive (>£16/kg) beans so cannot comment on them, tight I know... But I'm working on a budget here..Most "strong" blends tend to have a chocolate taste to them... To the point that they all taste the same..ie various lavazza beans.. Like them.. But a bit samey..These don't..a nice strong roast with a good kick to them... What coffee should be imho...slightly sweet/acidic note maybe(leave your comments)..Family agrees... Offspring, that has worked as a burrista in several places is pleased.I switched then ditched a lavassa subscription a while back because the chocolate bored me.. signed up to these now..And the price is right... Will be trying the other beans in their range...As you can see I don't review much... And don't claim to be a coffee expert.. But felt compelled to comment on these.. Read what you may into that...

I happily recommend this brand of coffee beans
I have previously bought Concerto blend beans from Pelican Rouge, so this as a repeat sale. The package arrived on time as expected and is a large bag, about 15 inches tall. It is not vacuum packed but it is an airtight bag.On opening the bag you get an almost instant hit of the strong smell of coffee. The beans themselves handle easily and grind well, and will leave the room you grind them in with the full bodied smell of proper coffee for at least an hour.As a drink this blend is made up mainly from Robusta beans, so you get a nice strong coffee flavour which is not too bitter but has some pleasing, almost but not quite peppery, accents. This seems to improve further, in my opinion, when the coffee cools slightly. This is a really good cup of everyday, regular drinking coffee. Even though it is listed as 'Strength 5' it is not a coffee that will give you a headache that some other 5's can do. You will feel the boost from the caffeine, but it doesn't seem too push you too far.As for this particular purchase it was a "steal" at this price, costing less than is quoted on Pelican Rouge's own website.I'd fully recommend this to anyone who wants a "proper cup of coffee" during the day that will keep their tastebuds happy, give them the strength to plod on with the next set of jobs but without leaving them feeling strung out after an hour or so, as some coffees can.Well done Pelican Rouge for producing this coffee blend.

Quite bland
Compared to the two coffees that we normally order, this was quite bland. It was also half the price of our other choices, so it's not entirely fair to compare them, but I won't be reordering this one. I've tried different grind sizes, and used it in a dripper and cafetiere, but I just couldn't extract any enjoyment from it. It's bareable, not particularly offensive, but just doesn't get my motor running. My wife reckons, given the cost, she'd give it four stars at a push, but she's a kinder soul than me!

Good value coffee beans
I normally buy my coffee beans from a London roaster. While away on holiday in a remote area I ran out of coffee beans so decided to buy this using Amazon Prime for next day delivery. The taste is quite robust with a nice rounded flavour. I brew with an Aeropress for 1 minute and thirty seconds with a medium/fine grind. For the money this is excellent value but it won't replace beans from my regular supplier but this is an excellent stand-by. If I were to be hyper-critical I'd rather see a roasted date rather than a best before date.
