The Good: Overall, this is a solid AC unit. It cools the room quickly, runs relatively quietly, and the build quality feels premium. I purchased a Voltas 2 Ton AC from Amazon, which was delivered on 29th May 2025. Upon unboxing by the Voltas technician, it was found that the 3-meter copper pipe (which is supposed to be included in the standard package) was missing. I immediately contacted Amazon Customer Support, and I was informed that the technician could proceed with the installation, and the cost for the missing copper pipe would be reimbursed by Amazon, provided it was mentioned on the job sheet. I followed the exact procedure—installation was completed, and all details, including costs, were properly documented. However, Amazon did not reimburse the full amount, resulting in financial loss and frustration. Below are the charges incurred during the installation: ₹1,415 – Standard installation ₹4,200 – 10 feet copper pipe (to replace the missing 3-meter pipe) ₹750 – AC stand installation (market price is around ₹200) ₹720 – 6 meters of extra wire ₹2,600 – Installation charge for 13 feet of extra copper pipe (charged ₹200 per foot). This is most surprising for me. Note: The cost of the 13 feet of copper pipe was charged separately (not included in ₹2,600) My concern is that these charges are excessive and not regulated, and Voltas seems to have no control over the technician's pricing. We trust TATA as a reputed Indian brand, and such an experience has been deeply disappointing. I also received a feedback call from Voltas and shared the same concerns during the call. I request Voltas to: Clarify whether these installation charges are officially monitored and approved by Voltas. Improve the transparency and accountability of technician services provided under the Voltas brand.

Timely delivery and installation. Raised Installation request with Voltas directly and they responded immediately. However, Voltas self care portal should be improved. Good performance so far. Not much noise while operation and cools well. Overall satisfied.

Air conditioner is very good in its task as expected by Brand but the cost cutting part is disappointing. There is no safety grill provided in outdoor unit's back side. I am not sure it is from manufacturer's end or Seller but it should be clearly stated in description that what is covered in box and what is not. This is our second ac from same brand so could see the difference.
