I didn't believe this in one of the previous reviews but due to the preservation method the flavour of a freshly opened packet is a bit wierd. Do not let this put you off though, after letting it sit in a bowl for an hour or so it morphs into the wonderful flavour we all know and love. The quality is high, I've had several packets too date and not had any quibbles about that aspect at all. On the biltong scale I'd say this warrants as a thin to medium sliced and tending towards dry. Would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies biltong at a good price point.

I have bought this product on and off for years (previously a 5 star product). Unfortunately this time the product was really very dry. We have not enjoyed eating it at all which is a shame as it's a real treat for us normally.

This product is very delicious and the price is quite acceptable

Best biltong ive had in a long time and good value

The bilong was made of low quality meat, there was more 'connecting tissue' than actual meat.
