I want to buy skittles for my Granddaughter's 4th birthday and like the fact that these are wooden but are they aimed at a younger age group?

My son is 4 and he play skittles with them and my daughter is 18 months and she likes picking them up and putting them in her mini kitchen:-) so I would say 4 and older is the right age to understand playing skittles.

Are the paints water based?

too young for a six year old?

I think they would be too small for a six year old .

Details state for two year olds then it carries a warning, not suitable for children under 36 months??????

That is indeed contradictory but my grandchildren play happily with them and they are 2 and 4. The 2 year old does tend to throw the ball rather than rolling it so we always supervise. They enjoy it
