Keeps the pesky bugs out!
Great for keeping the flies and wasos iut during the hot weather. I have 2 dogs and a cat and all 3 use the back door with this on. I had to remove the bottom magnet as the cat wasn't keen on headbutting it each time she comes in, it made no difference to the function of the screen it still works great.

yukki blue bottles
this invention is brilliant but i would recomend buying the jml one as i did, as this is a bit flimsy and i already had the plastic door hanger above the door from last years one that i got from jml it was better quality, im a seamstress so ive had to sew new tapes on this one but it does as it says keeps the flys out of the house an my dog an cats dont mind it they use it easy

Good but needs tweaking.
What can I say about the curtain, well it's a good job for the amount you pay.But there are several drawbacks,1. the outer edge of the mesh, is very thin, easily torn and as it houses the magnet boxes, could do with being made of a sturdier fabric.2. the velcro tabs which are meant to be used on a plastic door frame ( pins included for a wooden one), are not very sticky. They adhere to the door frame okay, but for the purpose of keeping the curtain attached to the door frame, a very poor job. These need to be much wider pieces with larger 'teeth' to grip and hold better.3. the magnet boxes are not made very well, ( I've bought 3 curtains in 3 yrs, and it's hit & miss with these)The magnet strips sit inside the boxes, and when hung correctly, the magnets attract and shut behind you ( or should do). A few are in wrong and instead of attracting, they repel each other. Often the boxes do not close well and so any movement with the curtain, due to passed through or weather, they pop open and magnets fall out.4. Weather wise, they tend to buffet in any kind of breeze, due to the lightness of the fabric, once they get a good soaking, they tend to ( unless pinned on a wooden frame to the door) get so heavy they slip off the velcro fasteners ( my 1st year experience)On saying all above, the netting itself is good, stops all manner of flying critters, however the creeping ones have a knack of walking till they find the opening and then walking underneath and unto the door and eventually inside the house. This is not the fault of the mesh, just a flaw that seems inevitable.I have a plastic door & frame, and have had to construct a wooden framework in order to hang the curtain, ( see above; velcro) I also with experience have taken the two curtains, laid them out magnets connected and sewn a strip of stronger fabric along the top edge and down both sides which are then pinned to framework. Ensuring the curtains lay vertically aligned and the magnet close behind me. Sometimes they don't and you need to pull the top one in and the rest follow suit.I gave them 4 stars, not for the quality, as I've improved on it, but for the mesh and the delivery & price which was very favourable. If you want something which can be installed and work perfectly, then I would not recommend it, but if you made the improvements I have then I certainly would.

Not as good as the ones with penguin magnets
It does the job, and is ok for the money, but...The velcro that is supplied with the screen is nowhere near sticky enough to stay put, so you need to either hammer in the tacks (not recommended on uPVC doors), or buy some heavy duty velcro to use instead. The stuff listed underneath as "frequently bought together" does the job perfectly. As others have said, it's a little too wide for the frame (I have mine folded back on itself), and it doesn't quite reach the bottom of the door. (The penguin one fitted perfectly). It doesn't come with the top valance that the penguin version has, either. The magnets are too weak, so, whilst it does work, by the time it has snapped closed behind you, most of the local insects have already sailed through the opening. I was able to swap the magnets for the ones from my (torn by a drunken egit) penguin version, which are twice as strong, (probably because they are twice as big), so it now works as it should. It's for this reason that I've given 3 stars, rather than the 1 or 2 that it probably deserves.So. It's just about ok, but if you spot one with penguin shaped magnets, buy it! In fact, buy several and either sell them on for a profit, or keep a few spares. (And to anyone who's had a penguin one that has been destroyed, keep the magnets).

The idea is very good but the velcro is a total waste of time
unfortunately I purchased 3 of these curtain! The idea is very good but the velcro is a total waste of time, having spent what felt like an age securing them to the door frame (which was an ill fit), I walked out the conservatory and when I went back in minutes later it was already starting to fall down! I attempted to put them back up again - BIG fail!! I am now left with 3 useless curtains and black velcro stuck on my pvc, unless I decide to buy some extra velcro (which can bump the price up quite significally) and sew it on instead as I believe the self adhesive strips are too weak and also not enough provided! Oh and they are black, looking at the picture I can see that now, so my mistake - still a disappointment though. Anyway, I would recommend you spend a few more pennies and get a different brand with better attachments as like I said the idea is great!

Happy with my purchase
Arrived before expected date .... always a good start.Packed in an easy to open plastic bag inside the cardboard box.Came with easy to understand printed instructions, and a diagram for those that can't be bothered to read instructions (you know who you are)To fix you have a choice of pre-cut lengths of double sided Velcro strips , or some very nice black headed push pins.I bought it to use on a garden aviary to keep the flies of my pet rabbits and it fit the panels perfectly, and the Velcro tape has stuck very well to the metal mesh. Time will tell if it lasts. As I cut the curtain to fit I have did not need the magnets to line up and stick together , so cannot comment if they do.However for the price all I am hoping for is one summer any more will be a bonus.A good purchase and would use this seller again
