Works as an alternative to finasteride
**Update Sept 2024: I dropped minoxidil three months ago and have not experienced any shedding or further loss. Don't know how things will play out but just using Hairmetto and a caffeine shampoo now** I use this as an alternative to finasteride. I still have to use minoxidil, because once you stop minoxidil, you lose all your gains brought by minoxidil, regardless of whether you're on finasteride or another 5 alpha reductase blocker...so be careful guys. It's very oily and you can't be seen in public with it on unless you have short hair and use a tiny amount. After several months of use I'd say it's improved the appearance of my hair beyond what I achieved on minoxidil alone (which I've been using for literally years). I will keep using Hairmetto for as long as it's effective. It's completely free of side effects. I use overnight (a minimal amount - don't drench your head in this), rub in well, wipe off any excess with a paper towel and wash out in the morning. I've tried oral and topical finasteride in the past and both gave me unacceptable side effects, so a topical botanical product with 5 alpha reductase inhibitory properties is probably the next best thing. Manage expectations. This is not going to regrow a ton of hair, at least it didn't for me. It's stabilised my hair loss and improved its appearance by gradually making it a little thicker. You really need to stick with it for months if you're going to try it. Also look into other products/treatments like topical caffeine, alfatradiol and derma rolling (I use these in addition to the minoxidil and Hairmetto and have done for a couple of years). To anyone fighting this curse, I wish you the best of luck.

Great product.
Been two months since I began treatment with this stuff. A lot of new baby hairs coming through around my hairline and top of head. The daytime counterpart is very invigorating and definitely gets the circulation going to the scalp. I love the smell of both daytime lotion and nightime oil. I have been using this along with micro needle roller and have been getting great results. I have also been taking saw palmetto and pumpkinseed oil orally to block DHT internally. It seems to be working I believe I will get more than 1/2 the hair I lost back with these changes.

Good but no miracle.
I have Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. This is not a wonder product, it leaves your looking an absolute greasy mess. I have no hair regrowth at all on my hairline however my eyebrows are much improved. Now I have scruffy, sparse eyebrows rather than the inch I had left. Hairmetto is far better than any steroid lotion from the doctor which leaves your scalp red and sore. I have had hairloss for about 2 years and eyebrows lost for about 4 years. I have been using Hairmetto for about 9 months.Hairmetto has slowed the hair loss considerably, which I think is as much as I can ask for. It is very soothing as sometimes my scalp can be really itchy. It recommends using twice a day but I use in the evenings as soon as I don't have to go out again, then wash in the morning. Maybe people with really short hair could get away with being seen in public with it on! I wouldn't be without Hairmetto, at least I feel it's doing something, even if it not a miracle cure. I wish I had discovered it as soon as I started losing my hair.

"Woohoo Hairy stuff this"
Great my hair is so thick at the front now, I can hardly see where I'm going I couldn't get hair clips large enough to pin it to the side I've had to use clothes pegs. "Follow up" Shucks just woken up, that was a nice dream I was having just went to the bedroom mirror and found out it isn't working properly doesn't show my new hair. 🥴.

Nice hair oil
Nice oil for hair and scalp. I didn't notice any regrowth while using it. I have nearly finished one bottle.

This product is certainly much better than other so called sophisticated hair loss products out there. Been using it for 2 months now and my hair is much thicker and starts regrowing on the crown, very slowly but noticeable. I have to add that I have been using oral saw palmetto for more than 10 years. It helps a lot for prostate health but oral saw palmetto performs no miracles for hair regrowth. So combining this Hairmetto product with oral saw palmetto is one of the best, maybe the best way to keep and grow some new hair. And much healthier than minoxidil

Utterly useless for hairloss
Ive been using this oil almost every night before bed for a year now. Along with microneedling for hair loss. I can say that it has literally been utterly useless in stopping regular male pattern baldness. Ive continued to lose more hair and see it come out in my fingers when applying the oil! IDK how a product like this exists with such claims. Smells good though.

Update: I'm not sure where my old post with my initial review of Hairmetto went, however you can see it in the paragraph below. I have been using hairmetto for over a year now and this product continues to amaze me with the results. I mentioned in my initial review that I had responded well to hairmetto and hoped that it would continue to work for me. I can safely say, one year onwards, my hair is thicker, softer and more healthy looking than ever. Considering the amount I blow dry, sometimes straighten and constantly style my hair, my hair still maintains a full, healthy look. I attribute this to Hairmetto because before I started using it, my hair was brittle and unhealthy and worst of all It was falling out quite rapidly. After my first hair transplant to fill in my hairline, I urgently had to start using something that would protect my exisiting hair around the crown and mid front of the scalp without the potential harsh side effects of drug treatments. Hairmetto has been the protection of existing hair I needed and is the central treatment I use for healthy hair maintenance. I used to be in shock at the amount of hairs I'd see in my combs or hands after styling or even running my hands through my hair. Now when I style or run my fingers through my hair there is at least 80% less hair fall. Hairmetto has stabilised my hair loss and even thickened up my crown and regrowth all over my scalp. I compliment my hairmetto usage with Pura D'or gold label anti hair loss shampoo and maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet which no doubt plays a role in healthy hair. There are however, some tips I would give to make the most use of hairmetto. 1. You don't need to drench your scalp in it! : For the first 10 months of usage, I applied a very liberal amount of oil throughout the whole top of my scalp. I ripped through bottles very fast and although the effects were almost immediate and I responded well, I was using way too much and it certainly wasn't very economic! I would be buying new bottles almost every two months. I have scaled back my usage to simply three drops, one on each temple peak and one on the midscalp which I massage in nightly and there has been no change in the positive results I've had with hairmetto. 2. This IS an oil, so expect to be washing your hair quite frequently. I wash my hair every second morning with Pura D'or Anti-Hair loss shampoo which has been a great compliment to Hairmetto. Since cutting back to only three drops per night on my scalp, my hair is much less oily the next morning and not as difficult to style as before. Some argue washing your hair that frequently isn't healthy, but all I can say is the results have spoken for themselves and I'm just gonna continue doing this if it means keeping a healthy, full head of hair! 3. Be diligent and patient. I was lucky to respond pretty quickly to this product and saw results quite fast. However, it has taken diligence and really incorporating it into my nightly routine just before bed. I did experienced hair fall when rubbing the oil in for the first few months, but this has greatly decreased through consistent usage of hairmetto. Also, don't freak out if there are one or two hairs on your hand after using it: we naturally shed hair all the time. Something I had to remind myself as I continued to use hairmetto. Asides from the inevitable oiliness of the scalp after usage, I can hardly call this a drawback because the benefits have been so strong for me since starting usage of hairmetto. I continue to experience zero side effects from hairmetto and will continue use it. Thankfully there is now a powerful, natural alternative to minoxidil or finasteride. Will upload pics at some point! Delivery has always been speedy process too. Considering I live in Australia, the time I have received my hairmetto orders has been very fast. P.S I rarely took pictures without a hat on before my HT and commencing usage of hairmetto so I don't have many clear shots for a before and after. However, will upload pics of current hair soon! (Old post) After only a little over one month of use, hairmetto has almost completely stopped my hair loss. The quality, thickness and density of my hair has doubled. I haven’t felt this confident in my appearance in years. For the past five years I have experienced aggressive androgenic Alopecia (runs in the family) which impacted my self esteem and confidence greatly. Hair after hair would come out when styling, washing or combing and I could notice the gradual thinning of my naturally thick head of hair that I so badly wanted to keep. I refused to take Finasteride and risk the potentially serious side effect of this drug. In desperation I turned to Minoxodil from which I experienced constant headaches, dizziness and little benefits for my hair with continued use. I also tried Trichogen and a range of other chemical based topical solutions with little to no effect. I even underwent a hair transplant this year to fill in my hairline, which I was extremely satisfied with but knew I would have to find a way to protect the rest of my hair from falling out in a side-effect free way. In a last ditch effort I ordered a bottle of hairmetto after stumbling across it online. With the abundance of ‘snake-oil’ and ‘natural’ hair loss scams out there, I was suspicious to begin with and wasn’t expecting much out of hairmetto but have been shocked and amazed with the results I have seen in such little time with NO side effects at all. Whether I am simply a great responder to this product, I don’t know, but I highly recommend this product to any other young men who are suffering from genetic hair loss who are looking for a side effect free solution. Give it a shot, you’ve got nothing to lose. Fingers crossed that hairmetto continues to work this well for me! My self appearance and esteem is huge for me as a presenter and public speaker and hairmetto has played an integral part of restoring my self confidence. THANKYOU HAIRMETTO
