Put up a long stretch of 6 foot high chainlink fencing and would have given up without this tool and the clips to go with it.It made the job of securing the chainlink to the straining wires a thousand times quicker and easier than tying loops by hand.We bought the box of 1000 hogties and used most of them so can say that the pliers were good for at least a thousand applications and looks like going on for a lot longer.

This saves hours of messing around with tangled balls of string or wire when tying up netting etc. The clips look so much neater too the the trailing ends of ties hacked away with scissors or secateurs. In the space of a couple of hours I was able to construct some very professional looking wire netting cloches to keep the birds and rabbits off my plants. Well worth every penny.

Well what do you say about a box of hog rings! Actually they are better than buying the hog rings supplied in plastic trays because the strips of rings are not broken when you take them out the box. If you have ever used hog rings you will know that broken strips are a pain and result it lots of wasted rings. Plastic trays are always full of them because there is no strength in the packaging.

Only stock fencing guys will know how annoying it is to be hogtying high tension wire to stock fence especially if it’s high wire. These are as easy as staples to load and use. I am now doing every third or even second square on the top wire as I can fire off hundreds in an hour. Only the last few mess up as the tool I have is old and worn. It’s not the staples fault. Supplier fault as very poorly packaged I bought 4 packs and every strip in every pack was broken into multiple pieces rendering them virtually useless. Hastle to return but would not recommend this supplier.

The product is fine of course (they are Rapid brand hog rings, so not much to go wrong there). The packaging was a jiffy bag and so all of the strips arrived smashed. As these are designed for use in the auto-feed pliers, that's a real pain in the backside. A heavy item like this needs to be put in a box with a bit of packaging around it.
