Brick Oven Pizza
This item was available on Amazon only as "used". It stated that it was in "very good" condition so I was a little concerned but figured if it was not to my liking I could return it. Well when it arrived the outer box it was in looked like it had gone through hell, but inside the unit was well protected by the packing and was in fact brand new and never used. One screw was missing and had obviously fallen out but I was able to get a replacement at Home Depot for a dollar. The assembly was very easy and now I am making brick oven pizzas on my grill in about 4 minutes. The only downside is that the unit is large and heavy so not the most convenient to find a place to store inside.

Best Pizza Oven Under $800
I don't take much time to write positive reviews on Amazon, but the Bakerstone is one that far exceeded my expectations. For reference, I have owned the PizzaCraft Pizzeria Pronto (nice but too small of a deck, and too small of an opening) and the Blackstone Patio Oven (garbage all around). I use the Bakerstone on my Napoleon PRESTIGE PRO 665 grill. The deck of the Bakerstone is able to reach 700 degrees in about 20 minutes. The impressive part of the Bakerstone is the generous opening, but moreover the top stone heat deflector. The Bakerstone traps the head around, below and behind the 4 sides of the stone for unbelievable pizza cooking, especially on the TOP of the pizza. Easy to use, and extremely durably made, this is the best of the 3 pizza ovens I've owned and used. Great value for the money, and superior performance.

Works as advertised and makes great home made pizza's
Using it on a Char‑Broil TRU‑Infrared 4-Burner gas grill and the oven fits perfectly and can close the lid with it inside. It takes 20 minutes to heat up and it cooks the pizza's in less than 5 minutes. So far we had a positive experience by making home made pizza pies with this pizza oven.

Great CS, time will tell if the product lives up to expectations
Updating Review 9/18: Customer service got back to me and after some lengthy discussions we "hacked" the thermometer probe to allow for a proper seat of the stone. I haven't used it yet but their customer service has turned me around on the company as a whole. Time will tell if usage lives up to the expectations. This might be great product but my experience has been poor, hoping their customer service eventually calls me back. First the package got lost for four days which isn’t the company’s fault but still annoying. When it arrived the box looked in rough shape but I figured maybe just intransit carrier negligence. When I opened it up everything seemed well packaged so my box concerns were alleviated. Unpacked everything and started searching for a instruction manual, I guess we’re in the modern age as nothing inside the box indicated how to assemble so off to their website. The setup video was good but didn’t match the configuration of my pizza oven. So minus points there already! Then I noticed that the back cover was slightly bent but still functional so chalk it up to cheap manufacturing. At this point they were down to four stars. Did the assembly on my own which wasn’t too bad just annoying. Just about set and putting the support bars on when I notice the bar near the opening isn’t flush...well I’m not going to force metal on stone so I disassembled it and took a look. The thermometer metal probe is too long and doesn’t provide enough clearance to put the final support bars in! Genius work guys. Of course the stone plate is now scratched as it was resting on the probe. Either I received a prototype or open box or something but this is just poor design and engineered with massive tolerances for error. I do hope I am contacted back by the company so they can explain what is going wrong here.

NEED TO USE A BETTER GRADE STONE!
I purchased this on the 16th of January and received it on the 18th on the weekend of the 23rd we used it for the first time, BEAUTIFUL results! It was a practice run before I called friend and family to rave and a few to come over and fellowship OUTSIDE as a way to social distance but still see some loved ones! Pulled it out preheated the grill put the oven on, got it up to cooking temp and placed a pizza in. Pulled it out and everyone was excited went to put the second one in and, WOW! A CRACK THAT WENT THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE BOTTOM STONE HAD STARTED! Now I read some of the other reviews and I know sometimes user error occurs but really?! 5 pizza's the first use and 1 the second and BAMM! stone splits in HALF?!!!!! I started calling the company first thing Monday and every day since and JUST LIKE SOME OF THE REVIEWERS said NO ANSWER! Just goes to VM! Returning it as I type this review. EXCELLENT CONCEPT POOR EXUCUTION! While the grade of stone for the sides and top are fine, a better and THICKER grade should have been used for the bottom! YOU can buy it if you want to but its not a matter of if it will split but, when. In the immortal words of Mr. Clint Eastwood; "DO YOU FEEL LUCKY PUNK?" "DO YOU?"

Makes Excellent Pizza and Breads
I used the oven for the first time tonight and made several pizzas. I preheated it as per the instructions and my bbq got it toasty hot. I put the pizza in and had it on an aluminum pizza grid (makes it easier to slide in) and made sure to keep an eye on it. You can see the dough rise within about a minute. Once that started to happen, I took it off the pizza grid and let it bake on the stone. I turned it about a quarter turn every minute or so until it was browned and gooey. Crust comes out crunchy and the toppings were fully cooked and happy. The true test was the kids and the wife who said it was excellent. I would recommend this, as it comes with the pizza peel and spatula to help turn it as well as a cover to store it when not in use.

Works as advertised…easy to put together
Don’t use our gas grill for anything but hot dogs and burgers since I have smoker, etc. This is a great inexpensive solution. DCS 4 burner gets this thing super hot after about 15 minutes. I have had to adjust down to medium for preheating..Takes a bit of practice to get pizza off the peel and need to buy a long spatula to turn as it is hottest in the back so you have to turn every 30 seconds or so. Really is a great solution for single 12” pizza. Works great!

I bought this with the intention of using it on my gas hob. Yes, it was a risk because this product is designed for gas bbqs. However, the outcome was good. Getting the pizza in and out requires care and a little practise, but the supplied peel and spatula are excellent. It took around 20 minutes for the box to reach the right temperature. The pizza cooked very quickly. Once the underside was cooked, a little lifting with the spatula finished off the top for a bubbling neapolitan style pizza. First impressions: Superb value, quality kit, excellent tools included, brilliant results, fun to use, versatile. Problems? Any bits that fall onto the stone are obviously burnt immediately and it would be worth using a little brush to help clean them away. This is not really a problem, but the opening is narrow and it is quite easy for toppings to go astray if you're too hasty (as I was on my first try). I would highly recommend this product. Very glad I bought it. I would love a wood fired oven but I haven't got the time to fire one up every time I want pizza. I also live in the north west of England where bbq weather is short lived. I want pizza all year round and this is perfect!

I do not usually write reviews because I do not have anything more to add to the previous reviews. This time I really need to give my review. The user manual and the Amazon Question&Answers said that it should not be used in an indoor electric oven for various reasons. But when I thought about it, I was convinced that it would work. My oven goes only to 500F therefore nothing will be damaged as they suspect. It will not get as hot as 700F but I thought that the pizza will still be OK. The weight is not a problem because it will sit at the edge of the wire rack very close to the oven wall. Today, I decided to give it a try in my indoor electric oven. It fits exactly in the oven as if it was designed for it. This is good news because the Bakerstone oven will take all the heat that the bottom element will provide. I put it on the lowest possible height in the oven so that it gets maximum heat from the element. Then I cranked the oven to 500F and waited 30 minutes. An infrared thermometer showed that the bottom stone reached 475F. I decided to put the 10-inch pizza that my wife prepared from scratch. After 3 minutes I turned the pizza around because the back cooks faster than the front. Then I waited another 3 minutes before taking it out. By that time my Budweiser bottle was empty. Therefore I opened another one to go with my first Bakerstone pizza. My wife and I did a high five because this was better than any pizza we ever made. It was the same quality as a pizzeria but our fresh ingredients tasted much better. We put a second pizza as the box was still hot. This time we tried 4 minutes each side for a total of 8 minutes. The crust was a little burned and it was not as good as the first one. Next time I will try it on my BBQ to see the difference cooking at 700F. I suspect that the pizza will cook faster and I will need to be very careful not to burn it. My conclusion is, if you do not have a large BBQ to fit this box or you are living in a condo you can still buy this Bakerstone pizza oven and use it inside your electric oven. It will make restaurant quality pizza for you and it is totally safe. Just make sure that it will fit in your oven. My wife and I are pizza lovers, this box is a great addition to our kitchen. We will make a lot more pizza for years to come.

I used this oven on same day of arrival and has been used it on weather permitting days. This oven has more or less paid for itself due to the number of cooked pizza's, and providing pizza mixture is correct you will not get any better. If I had to buy another unit I would buy the same again.

We debated pros and cons of this or the stand alone oven style. So glad we went with Bakerstone - if you are in the market for grill top pizza oven or stand alone oven, this is your review to push you to the Bakerstone grill top. Pros - the heat is > 700 degrees immediately, even heat distribution for cooking, price point, ease/frequency of use with gas BBQ, storage, crowd pleasing pizzas!!!! Cons: can’t bring it to a picnic We are having fun with it!
