52pcs Thread Pitch Gauge Stainless Steel Screw Pitch Measuring Tool Screw Thread Pitch Cutting Gauge Tool Multi Purpose (Metric&British Whitworth(52pcs))

I bought this for my son for work. Hes just starting out so i lile helping him with the small, but important things he may need. He lived getting it. I dont honestly know the first thing about it, but he is very happy with it, so i am too.

Posting this to clarify for future purchasers that this item is the metric and Whitworth thread pitch gauge, NOT the SAE thread pitch gauge. There are 52 pieces, 26 of which are metric and 26 of which are Whitworth. It worked perfectly, within 10 seconds I was able to measure both screws I had and figure out what type of replacements I needed to get. Haven't used the Whitworth yet and doubt I'll need them, but you never know.

It works, but when I received it it had fallen apart and had to be put back together. It did what I needed it to do. It won't measure 1/4 nuts though, they're too small for the tool to fit into.

I wish that I had bought this Thread Gauge, sooner - I had to guess what the Metric Thread Pitch was on a lathe I was working on - so I could make a Thread Adapter for a new Chuck - And I guessed wrong and ordered the wrong size Metric thread tap. Now, I will not have to guess anymore. I like it that the lettering on the Gauge Inserts are stamped on and not just printed on - they will not wear off. And that the thread gauge is made of stainless steel.I liked this gauge so much, that I just ordered another one - to give to my grandson for his workshop.

Most to the smaller thread gauges are actually just flat pieces of steel with no teeth cut in them. Many of the gauges are not labeled or the stamps are too faint to see. I am returning it and as we have all heard before... You do get what you pay for.

I was surprised at how small it is to have so many gauges but Hey! They work.
