SuperMocio Microfibre and Cotton Mop

This is a replacement for a much-used and reliable predecessor of a broadly similar type that was recently retired and discarded. Vileda's mops and related products are actually preferred as each has given many years of service. Unbranded alternative purchased on the local high street rarely last for a year or two and were often replaced. Vileda also tend to offer replacement heads for several years after a model's introduction but it may be advisable to have at least one spare in the event that a purchase was made towards the end of the production run. "Vileda SuperMocio Microfibre and Cotton Mop with Extra Refill, Red" has that spare and is a modern version of the traditional wick mop. The head utilises cotton and microfibre to provide absorbency and an effective scrubbing action. As with other Vileda 'fabric' mop heads, it can be machine washed although personal practice has been to wash and rinse in a bucket out of hygiene concerns. Supplied collapsed to about half its normal length, the handle can be unscrewed and set to a height to suit, whether fully extended or somewhere less and then re-tightened. When tight, it will hold that position. The mop head is very soft as received and excellent for absorbing liquid spills, water leaks etc although it can also be used with suitable product to clean a variety of hard floors including laminates, vinyl or stone. Considering the inclusion of a spare head, the pricing is excellent. If this is the preferred style of floor mop, it is very worthy of consideration and likely to provide service way beyond the life expectancy of any sponge mop. Not 'cheap' but not over-expensive either.

It's really hard to rave about a mop, it does what it's meant to do and does it very well. The item arrived with a mop head attached along with a spare. The handle can be adjustable to your required height it appears well made (handle and mop head) I haven't needed as of yet to change the mop head so I can't comment on the ease of doing that, but from the instructional stickers on the handle it appears to be a case of standing on the mop head to be changed then pulling upwards to detach the handle before replacing it with the new one.

Never thought that I would compliment a MOP as I hate floor mops as much as I hate mopping floors but his is truly the best mop that I have ever used and I have used LOTS of them in my 65 years on the floor moping treadmill. This mop is lightweight, easy to wring dry and cleans like a dream and is suitable for tall people - it really does make light of an extremely unpleasant tedious chore. This is an extremely well designed product.

These are ok, and theyre just "okay". Dont get me wrong, they fit on the mop stick nicely, click into place, no problems. They look great when they arrive, and the cotton is very soft. The issue is, they deteriorate very quickly it seems. As soon as you have used it a couple of times, its looks all floppy and really raggy and the strings seem to start threading and coming out. Now ive tried 2 of these and its happened to both. If you were to use this mop head without getting it wet, say to buff a floor, it would be perfect !! however, for now i think ill go back to the other type of vileda mop head, which is called the supermocio and is also alot cheaper !!

I am a massive!!! Amazon UK fan and it is always my first port of call when buying anything, and rarely if ever do i have cause for complaint, but with regard to the excessive in the extreme amount of packaging for this telescopic mop i had to say something Its just as well i have a Blue Recycling Bin so that the ridiculous size of box that this mop came in can be reused In an era of scarce planetary resources ie trees especially, this amount of packaging for such a small item is totally unjustifiable When the Courier came to my door i thought she was at the wrong address as i thought "i haven't ordered anything this big!!!" A medium sized bubble wrap Jiffy Bag would have been perfectly adequate

Ottimo... l'ho cercavo da tanto ma questo tipo non si trova nei negozi... Pulisce bene anche nelle fughe... l'unico neo è un po' pesante quando si usa..io xsonlalmete faccio un po' fatica

Have had this mop previously and love it. Easy to use, rinse, and reuse in twist wringing bucket.
