This is a top quality hemp protein powder that's reassuringly organic. It's a muddy-coloured powder that admittedly doesn't look the most appetising when mixed with water - but don't let that put you off, it looks worse than it tastes! It's actually got a clean, quite palatable flavour that's slightly nutty and does taste just like hemp seeds. I usually do half and half with a vanilla protein powder and half a teaspoon of superfruit berry powder for a quick protein shake. It mixes easily into water without clumping so you don't need a blender. This was my first purchase of hemp protein on its own and I definitely prefer it over pea protein which although contains more protein per 100g, I find it has a distinctive flavour that can be difficult to mask and doesn't compliment other flavours as well as the hemp does (but it depends what you're mixing it with I guess). The hemp works really well in baking too, just replace 20-25% of the flour in any recipe for a healthier protein-packed treat; things like oatmeal cookies and brownies work really well. No complaints on taste and texture so I'm impressed with this hemp protein discovery; it's quite reasonably priced for a seed protein too so I'll definitely be re-ordering.

Sevenhills Hemp Protein is great. It's the first time I've tried it, it has a lovely nutty taste and I really enjoy it. The reason for 4 stars is the package arrived damaged, the pouch had a 25mm slash on the side near the bottom. I taped it up to seal it, but there was a lot of green powder inside the cardboard box. The product itself, I would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant stuff, I swear by it. I make a mix in a bit container. 70% Hemp Powder. 20% Wheatgrass Powder. 10% Spirulina Powder. I then have another mix that I make using a spice/coffee grinder. 50% Oats. 25% Chia Seeds. 25% Linseed. “BZZZZZZZZ” - Powder. Put a broken banana into a smoothie blender and add water. Add 2 tablespoons of the first mix and 3 tablespoons of the second mix and blend thoroughly. Absolutely amazing! Food in a bottle. Helps massively with my liver condition. NICE!

I'm currently using two teaspoonfuls of this in my homemade protein shake, together with a scoop of organic whey protein, a bit of cacao powder and some honey. I wouldn't use any more, because there it does add an earthiness to the mixture, and it is heavier and does sink to the bottom after a long time. But a quick swish and its back in the mixture again. I personally think it tastes fine - sure, it does have a slight nutty taste, and yes it does make the texture of the milk (which I mix it in - I would not recommend water, that would make it pretty yuck) slightly more weighty, or you know, powdery? I wouldn't say gritty because it's really not that bad at all, but putting more in the milk may make it so. I use it as well as whey because I want some of my protein which my body will inevitably use to make muscle, as I work out every day with resistance bands, from nuts, i.e. I want nut/seed (vegetable) protein as well as milk protein. Another factor was that it is 25% fibre, so that's great for my digestion. The protein content is 50% - more than enough as an addition to whey. It's essentially cold pressed organic hemp seeds which removes much of their fat content (it's about 8% fat - and the good type, with all the Omega numbers there) and leaves it mostly with protein and fibre. Very very healthy. I've been working out every day for the past four weeks, using this the past week, and although I'm not going to say I feel absolutely amazing because of this product, but I 100% trust this powder as something that is significantly helping my body, particularly my muscles to recover and repair after intense sessions. Good for use as an addition to a natural homemade protein shake, but probably not sufficient on its own (as also it doesn't have as many of the 3 essential BCAAs as whey).

Taste is not great, tastes a bit like grass, I guess that's what it is, but it's protein. I guess because it doesn't have sugar, it's easier not to put weight on. I got it mainly for the large size and value for money. Looks like a green brown sludge. It mixes fine in the mixer but it doesn't dissolve in water brilliantly. I think if you don't care about taste and value for money considering you can get 3Kg that's good. Any tips on making it easier to drink would be appreciated.
