I had a bicycle puncture while on holiday and the tyre went completely flat so I ordered some of this slime to our holiday park. I put in about half of the slime and pumped the tyre up. It held pressure for a few minutes and then went flat again. I was disappointed but the puncture was likely significant and this was my last resort anyway as I had no tools or puncture repair kit. It was a rear wheel with disc break so I didn’t really have any hope of a repair! I then tried again with the remaining half a bottle as I had nothing to lose and miraculously the second time it worked! The repair held and I’ve been using the bike without problems for the remainder of the holiday. Very grateful for this slime and will definitely use again preventatively next time. Just a quick note on the valve core removal - the tool clips onto the core and then you turn anti clockwise to gently unscrew and remove. This wasn’t very well explained in the instructions or videos I found. Otherwise all very straightforward to use.

Good product - fixed a puncture on rear tyre a month ago & its still inflated - clean & easy to use

I was very sceptical of this stuff. Not going to lie. I ended up buying it despite of some stupid people on YouTube claiming it didn't work after filling a tyre with it then deliberately hammering a nail into their bike wheel - as if that's representative of the real world. Anyway. I actually already had a slow puncture in the read tyre of my bike before I put the slime in. I'd pump it up and it's hold air for a day or so but was flat after that. I installed the slime, pumped the tyre back up. Went on a slow, short trip round the block to distribute the slime throughout the tube and put the bike back in the garage. Checked on it the next day, still fine, the day after, fine, got to the weekend, no problems. I cycled a 70 mile round trip on the Sunday, got back home was fine still. So the slime had already sealed the puncture properly by this point. I've used the bike since and it wasn't until the other day I went on another short ride, about 23 miles in the end. 4 miles from home I must have got another puncture and instead of, like normal, the tyre just quickly going flat and rolling on the rims, the tyre slowly (enough that I didn't notice immediately) lost pressure to the point where it got to about 20psi (where I'd realised it was pretty squishy and not riding properly) but it never went completely flat and had obviously self sealed at 20psi. I didn't bother pumping it up for the sake of 4 miles and rode the rest of the trip on it no problem. When I got home I pumped it back up to 60psi and it's stayed there since. Amazing stuff. As for installing it, you'll need Schrader valves because you need to remove the valve core in order to put the slime into the tyres. The cap of the bottle is actually the tool to remove the valve core so don't throw it away! What I did was have the tyre so that the air inlet to the tube was about four o'clock. This way the slime was going in and there was no air getting trapped pushing it back out again (which is what happened first time I tried with the tyre inlet all the way at the bottom). The bottle is clearly marked for the correct amount of slime to put into each wheel. I had no problems getting the valve cores in or out with the supplied tool. Everything went well and there was only a little bit of spillage when removing the pipe from the inlet. Just make sure you have some kitchen roll or an old cloth or something to clean up with and you're all set. I can't fault this stuff. I heard online that other people have managed to put this in Presta valved tubes by using a large syringe and needle, filling the syringe with slime, injecting it into the tube and either letting the slime itself plug the "puncture" or patching it up when done. I haven't tried this and to be honest I'm a bit sceptical about this approach as there are what look like black tiny chunks of rubber in the slime and I'm not convinced they'd go through the needle. Anyway, just a note, this stuff is nor for Presta valved tubes as you cannot remove the valve core in order to quirt the slime into the tube properly. I've no idea if this would work with European "Dunlop" valves but the supplied pipe would, I think, be too big, so again you might have to get inventive. Anyway, that's my review. Just wanted to comment on how this stuff has successfully fixed two punctures without so much as me having to take the wheel off. I am super impressed.

This product is an absolute miracle! It saved me from having to buy two new tires for my son's bike. They were flat as pancakes, and within minutes, this product had them solid and good to go. Produkt testowałem w dwóch rowerach i niestety mam mieszane odczucia. W rowerze mojej żony — z cienkimi oponami, w których powietrze notorycznie uciekało — sprawdził się znakomicie. Po aplikacji preparatu koło trzyma powietrze doskonale, problem z ciągłym dopompowywaniem zniknął. Niestety w moim rowerze MTB z grubszymi oponami i dętką uszkodzoną przez drobną, około milimetrową dziurkę, preparat zupełnie się nie sprawdził. Szlam wypływał przez dziurę, nie był w stanie jej zakleić, a podczas pompowania elektryczną pompką wręcz wystrzeliwał z dętki. Próbowałem też kręcenia kołem, odczekiwania aż wyschnie, dodatkowego łatania — bez skutku. Podsumowując: produkt działa, ale nie w każdej sytuacji. Do drobnych nieszczelności w cienkich oponach jest OK. W przypadku większych obciążeń czy MTB — lepiej mieć pod ręką tradycyjny zestaw naprawczy lub nową dętkę.

Wat een snelle reparatie van de band! Klusje van niets. Zonder enig bijkomend gereedschap opgelost. Wel een fietspomp nodig! Een aanrader! De fles was genoeg voor de twee 12" banden van mijn elektrische stepje. Heb dus gelijk ook de andere band voorzien van dit spul in de hoop voorlopig geen lekke banden meer te krijgen.

Vorgeschichte(kann übersprungen werden): Ich wohne etwas abgelegen und das Fahrrad ist für mich aus gesundheitlichen Gründen(Wirbelsäule, Probleme mit längeren Strecken gehen) ein sehr wichtiges Transportmittel. Das Hinterrad verlor vor einigen Tagen plötzlich Luft(nach aufpumpen in wenigen Stunden komplett leer). Also bestellte ich zwei Schläuche und entdeckte beim stöbern auf Slime. Ich las die Rezensionen, recherchierte im Netz. Wie meistens, wurden zwei grundverschiedene Meinungen vertreten. Die einen schimpfen über negative Nebenwirkungen wie verklebte Ventile, buhten "funzt nicht" bla bla, und die anderen behaupteten "hielt bis nachhause/ bis zum Fahrradklempner" , "hält einige Wochen", "hält sehr lange". Der Hersteller sagt sogar "bis zu zwei Jahre". Hmm ich bin kein Fan von "bis zu" weil es doch zu relativ ist. Wer möchte schon ein Brot essen, wenn auf der Verpackung steht "hält bis zu zwei Jahre" und zwei Wochen sind schon verstrichen? Mit "mindestens" könnte man mehr anfangen. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Da ich mir die demontage des Hinterrads(Gangschaltung etc) ersparen wollte, dachte ich "Das Fahrrad ist für mich sehr wichtig und 10 Euro zusätzlich für einen Test investieren, wäre nicht verkehrt. Vielleicht funktioniert das sogar, wenn nicht, hab ich die Schläuche und muss mit der Demontage/Montage halt in den Sauren Apfel beißen". Überraschung: Ich ließ die Luft raus, füllte etwas von dem "Slime" in den Reifen, pumpte diesen auf, und drehte ihn, damit das Zeug sich verteilen konnte. So wird es auch in der Anleitung beschrieben. Danach fuhr ich 5 Minuten um das Zeug besser im Reifen zu verteilen. Ich ließ das Fahrrad einen Tag stehen. Am nächsten tag ging ich nachsehen und erwartete ehrlich gesagt eine Enttäuschung, nämlich einen platten Reifen. Ich war sehr überrascht und erfreut; Reifen bombenfest, genau wie nach dem auffüllen/aufpumpen. Ich bin mittlerweile mit dem Fahrrad einige Tage gefahren und hab das Gefühl dass der Hinterreifen sogar weniger Luft verliert, als vor der Panne. Was ich nicht so toll finde: Man kann nicht sehen, wie viel Slime man in den Reifen "gepumpt" hat. Für Fahrradreifen soll man ca. 118ml einfüllen. Wie man das Messen soll, ist mir schleierhaft. Es gibt zwar einige Markierungen auf der Flasche, doch wie soll man diese ablesen? Flasche auf dem Kopf, beim abfüllen? Danach Flasche aufrecht stellen und schätzen? Wobei man kaum erkennen kann wo die "Flüssigkeit" genau steht, egal ob gekippt oder nicht. Doch diese Unannehmlichkeit ist keinen Sternabzug wert. Es wäre vielleicht eine Überlegung wert, etwas in eine kleinere Plastikflasche zu füllen um diese für Notfälle immer bei sich zu haben. Die große Flasche hier ist etwas zu groß und zu schwer um sie immer mit "herumzutragen". Ausserdem ist es eine klebrige Angelegenheit wenn man das auf die Hände bekommt, lässt sich aber mit etwas Wasser und Seife leicht abwaschen. Ich bin gespannt wie lange die "Reparatur" hält, und werde nach einiger Zeit einige Anmerkungen dazu hinzufügen. Anmerkung nach fast genau einem Monat: Der mit Slime "reparierte" Reifen ist noch immer ok, verliert keine Luft und hält die Luft sogar länger als vor der Panne(bleibt sehr lange sehr fest). Auch das aufpumpen nach einigen Wochen war kein Problem(keine vertstopften Ventile). Ich bin sehr froh dass ich mir damit die Demontage/Montage des Hinterreifens und eventuelle Probleme mit der Gangschaltung (er)sparen konnte. Anmerkung nach fast einem Jahr: inzwischen hatte ich zwei weitere Pannen. Bei der ersten war der Reifen wenige Std. nach dem aufpumpen platt. Bei der letzten vor einigen Wochen schon wenige Minuten später da das Loch hörbar groß war, und da dachte ich das wars; "das Zeug wird dir nicht mehr helfen". Doch ich fahre dank diesem Zeug noch immer mit dem Schlauch den ich vor einem Jahr erwähnte. Unglaublich. Ich glaube ich hab noch für eine oder zwei "Reparatur/en" was übrig in der Flasche. Das hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt und ersparte mir nun schon seit einem Jahr die für mich sehr unangenehme "echte" Reparatur. Auf die Monate gerechnet, bezahlte ich nicht mal einen Euro pro Monat. Letzte Anmerkung: Trotz der vielen Löcher und des alten Reifens habe ich den Reifenwechsel bis April 2025 hinausgezögert. Zuletzt verlor der Reifen Luft, doch das Loch war sowohl im Schlauch als auch am Mantel und ziemlich groß. Trotzdem brachte das Nachfüllen etwas weil das Fahrrad mich mehrere male immerhin bis nach Hause brachte. Das was das Zeug geleistet hat war eine sehr beachtliche Leistung denn der Reifen hatte mehrere male heftig was abbekommen. Ich habe trotzdem noch was in der Flasche übrig was vermutlich für noch ein "Flickvorgang" reichen wird. Den Reifen und Schlauch habe ich gewechselt und es ging einfacher als ich es erwartet hätte. Ich würde es trotzdem wieder erst mit diesem Artikel versuchen denn die Erfahrung war wirklich sehr positiv. Gehalten hat es vom September 2023 bis April 2025! Wäre das letzte Loch nicht aussen sowohl am Mantel als auch am Schlauch und etwas kleiner, hätte es noch viel länger gehalten.
