Beautiful, easy to follow recipes that work perfectly each time!
I've been wanting to add Skye's books to my ever increasing cookery book collection, I follow her on social media and have picked up the odd recipe online - her mascapone tart graces our Christmas table each year. I treated myself to her A Table Full Of Love which I've been cooking religiously from since I got it. Having lost my cooking mojo over the last few months it's very much back! The book is beautifully presented, gorgeous photography and accompanying words. But it's the recipes that are most impressive. Easy to follow, quick to prepare for a busy household and more importantly completely delicious! They appeal to both adults and children...so nice to have a recipe book I can cook for the whole family from.I dread pancake day as it's the one thing I really have never mastered...I've tried numerous recipes over the years, they stick, fall apart...I spotted Anthony's Pancake recipe in the book so took a punt. Goodness they worked even the very first one! Absolutely delicious and each pancake was perfection! Thank you for sharing all these wonderful recipes that I know I'm going to come back to year after year - a book for life!

Is fast becoming one of my favourite recipe collections
I purchased this book after coming across some of the receipes from it in a magazine. One caught my eye for not only the food but also the way it was written (the imagery of 'galloping' water piqued my interest!) I went to cut out the recipe to keep and then realised that all the others in the set sounded delicious, so I bought the book. It did not disappoint. It reads as beautifully as the recipes eat. Most of the family and comfort recipes I have made variations of over the years but it was nice to be inspired by tweaks and little additions that could rejig these dishes. I make a lot of cakes and it was great to have some new ideas. I love the way the book is written and it is a good read even if you didn't make any of the recipes. I have not enjoyed reading the text of a cookery book (and I have many) since Nigella Lawson's 'How to Eat'. The book is approached from the view of cooking out of love and nurturing. I will probably buy a copy for my own sons (two of whom are cooking in student digs in the same town where the author started her journey) and for friends and family as I think it would be a welcome addition to any kitchen bookshelf.

A wonderful, inspiring book filled with love and delicious easy recipes
I received this book at 9pm last night.I thought I would just glance at it and read another time,I could not put it down.I read it from cover to cover and earmarked so many recipes to make .It is so much more than a recipe book,it is a manifesto for leading a fulfilling life.Syke has very sensitively distilled the interaction between food and love and shows how we can make our life warmer ,richer, more comforting and pleasurable simply by making a dish for friends, lovers ,children or for those going through tough times. The recipes are imaginative and yet very straight forward. Skye gives practical tips for storing ,presenting and how to enjoy many of the dishes. This book is the perfect antidote to these challenging times .It is uplifting and inspiring and I found it a great tonic. This book is beautifully written and it is organised so if you are cooking for one or twenty you can quickly find a delicious, suitable, manageable recipe .

Another beautiful book from Sky McAlpine
This is such a lovely book, not just a thing of beauty but also a really good cookbook - recipes are decent home-cooking and achievable - not "chefy" at all. If you're someone who loves to cook for your family and friends and wants it to create delicious meals without too much effort then this is the book for you. Like Skye's two previous books this is packed with inspiration and beautiful photography - I keep her books on my coffee table and everyone who picks them up goes on to buy them. I also have repeatedly bought as gifts. Really glad this latest book has lived up to the high standards she set with her previous offerings.

Gorgeous cookbook, and format!
I have Skye's two other cookbooks and I love them so much which is why I pre-ordered A Table Full of Love as soon as it was announced. I received it today and found so many recipes I can't wait to try. Really liked the new format of the book, recipes are divided into different sections depending on who you are cooking for (for loved ones, as gifts, for date nights (to impress), etc). Really clever design and as always, love the different marbled papers that accompany each chapter. Must add to your cookbook collection. Congratulations Skye!

Lovely writing and great recipes!
I am only halfway in this new book by Sky McAlpine, but I can already tell this a great cookbook. Not only are her recipes great and easy for non-hobbycooks as well, but also her personal words that go with every recipe are wonderful. I have many many cookbooks (sort of a collector) and can honestly say: if you one cookbook this year…buy this one! (Also great as a present for someone you love.)
