Awesome on maple headstock
Bought for my Fender Jazz custom job, specifically for the headstock. I sanded the face of the headstock back to raw wood to remove the “Fender JAZZ BASS” decals. This returned the wood to its washed out and pale natural appearance. This was sanded back to 320 grit, then sanded again with wet and dry 800 to get it like glass. 3 coats applied, with a light sanding with wet and dry 800 in between, a new Fender Jazz Bass water slide applied and allowed to dry out completely, followed by another 3 coats of this nitrocellulose spray, with sanding in between. My headstock looks factory quality, and I am one heck of a picky person. The maple regains it’s warmer hue with multiple coats, and it matches the other factory finished maple details almost perfectly.Words of wisdom; go thinly with your coats, do not skip sanding with 800 wet and dry in between them, although I would skip sanding the first layer of nitro you apply after applying your water slide, just to be sure you don’t accidentally sand through the thin layer of lacquer and damage it 👍🏽

Excellent
6 coats on a Stratocaster body made it look brilliant after polishing with a buffing wheel. Good product sprayed well, coverage was good.

Brilliant stuff.
What an amazing invention. They put the liquid into a handy round tin and attach a little button on top that you press to get the liquid out. But be careful because it comes out of a tiny hole in a really fine spray and if you don't aim it carefully it will just go everywhere!

Ok
Not great coverage, so be careful not to spray too close to the guitar. Does the job though

Dartford's Gloss Clear Nitrocellulose Guitar Lacquer spray
I used this for spraying the back of a Strat neck. This was a cellulose lacquer over the factory polyester finish. Without too much preparation, I achieved a high gloss finish...... DO NOT think you can do it, unless you know you can...... If you know how to use a spray gun, you should be able to achieve a good finish with this Dartford lacquer. All their paints are high quality. [PREPARATION is important]

Quality finish
The media could not be loaded. Went on evely and sprays smoothly, I did warm the can up in warm water first. I put on light coats, and didn’t get any runs. The final finish was wet sanded with 1500-2000-3000 grit wet paper. If I did it again I would have sprayed on more heavily on the final coats- but I wasn’t brave enough!😊Great product- not cheap- but it is a good quality. I’m very happy with the results
