EcoTools Retractable Face Multitask Makeup Brush

I used to have an earlier version of this Ecotools kabuki brush, but sadly I lost it some time ago; with the rise of the beauty blender in the application of makeup, I had forgotten about how well this brush used to blend my foundation. I decided to get a new brush for my birthday, and was not disappointed when it arrived the next day. The bristles are densely packed and of excellent quality, and the retractable aspect of the brush means that you can actually vary how dense you would like the bristles to be. The lid ensures that the brush remains hygienic, especially if you are travelling, and I love the dark silver colour of the handle and lid - it does indeed give the brush an expensive feel, and is an improvement on the brown coloured metal of the previous version. The icing on the cake was the absolute bargain price of only £9.74!

I've used this a few times now and am really happy with it. The way it tucks into its case is brilliant - the brush itself isn't the moving part - just the sleeve which comes up over the bristles to kind of guide the cap over everything without damaging it at all. It's very soft and applies mineral foundation very well w/ a great finish and no little bristles coming loose and getting all over your face (so annoying!) I am thinking I will get the brush soap from EcoTools as well to keep it nice and clean and in good shape. I have very happily gotten rid of all my old kabuki brushes, and at only 1/4 the price of a branded version, I am loving this. Just right.

This is a versatile kabuki brush - you can use it to apply loose powder, compact powder or blush. It's a must have item to have in your travel kit - the fact that the brush is retractable means that the brush stays clean and prevents dirt and dust particles attaching onto the bristles. It's a good size too, so it won't take up too much space in your make up bag.The bristles have a soft touch and having had it for a year, I've not noticed any shredding, so I think this brush will last for quite a long time and is therefore value for money.However, it does take a long time for it to dry when you give it a clean. It takes about 2 - 3 days for it to be completely dry and water does get trapped inside the slider, so I leave it to dry on a drying rack for about a week just to make sure it's really dry all inside and outside.

Fabulous brush! Soft dense bristles that stay in place after cleaning.Easy to handle, and head of the brush holds product well. I have brushes that are to big to go in a cosmetic bag so being retractable this just a bonus. The case of the brush is favourable rather than a garish colour. I have found that the case can stand up well to being bashed about in my handbag and still look good! I have other brushes from the collection that I have had a good length of time and they are still as good as new so I am confident this brush will be the same!I purchased two brushes as they were such a good price.I would not hesitate to advise others to buy.

This brush is designed in such a way that you can out the travel cap on without damaging the bristles. The brush is nice and soft and applies powder well, and it is such a size that it would easily fit in a jacket pocket. The metal casing is good quality strong enough that it will protect the brush from dings and bumps. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

The body of this brush is flimsy, when I pull up the central column over the brush ready to put the lid on, it wobbles and I'm not sure how long it will last, it feels like it could easily be pulled off or break, very fragile. The brush itself is lovely and soft but not as dense as my usual brush. I bought this for my handbag as my usual brush isn't retractable but I'm not convinced it will last. I wouldn't mind if it had been cheaper but at a fraction under a tenner I would expect better quality.

The product looks good and is going to be super useful for traveling. But as advertised as an eco tool I dont understand why there’s so much plastic in the packaging, doesnt make sense to me. Also I would prefer that the lid that covers the brush fully covered the brush, because when you close the top lid it kind of touches the brushes so I can see this in the future starting to get moulded/folded.
