Great product
These are simply brilliant. They give a classy look to our white rendered home - I fitted two to our rear wall. The upper light is reflected from the sophits and guttering and with the wall rendered white give an ambient lighting effect which is very nice indeed. The down light gives a focused light onto the pathway. They are a little tricky to fit as the space between the backplate and the slide-on front section is very tight and you have to cut the mains wire quite short. Aside from that, a great product. And I paid full price! We have them fitted with GU10 Dusk To Dawn Sensor Spotlight LED Bulbs (5 Watt Equivalent to 50 Watt Halogen bulbs) so don't need a PIR sensor to activate them. They look just great.UPDATE - we love them so much after a couple of weeks that another is about to be fitted to the garage too; with the same LED Dusk to Dawn LED lamps.

Tasteful, minimalist and effective
Really good quality brushed stainless steel finish that's easy to clean with stainless spray cleaner. Can be used with either LED GU10 lamps or 35w Halogen. The later giving a warmer, more welcoming light.Like all fittings of this type the circular back must be allowed to fit absolutely flush to the wall on either tendered finish or the whole depth of a single horizontal brick. Mounting holes drilled into brick and not mortar. Simple wiring through hole drilled in the wall. Ideal mounting height around 66" can be used wired in a chain from PIR unit, too.Great value for money.

Plastic backing is junk but once fitted, light looks great
Happy with the light now it's up, but the backing which you screw into the wall is flexible plastic and unless you have a completely flat, smooth wall (which if you're screwing into brick or stone you almost certainly don't) it bends and doesnt retain its circular shape. You then cant slot the light fitting over it.I had to use my own bigger, longer screws to get the backing to be fitted securely to the wall, but not tightly enough to cause bending. Now it's up though I'm very happy with it, it looks great and is excellent value for the money so would recommend

Light of my life...
I've had these lights installed for about a month now and they're looking good.Compared to other up and down lights that I was looking at, these were the cheapest ones that had an IP65 rating. The lights were easy to install; if you have a bit of DIY knowledge then you shouldn't have too many problems.I installed LED GU10 bulbs in the light as they don't come with bulbs. I think this is the best solution as you can then choose whether you want a warm light or a colder light. The top and bottom of the light unscrews to allow you to change the bulb. The two bands that you see in the picture are seals that help give the light its IP65 rating. There are no signs of weather damage as of yet and they still look good.If you're looking for this type of light then I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great lights but can be tricky to fit
Got two of these for our conservatory and they look truly great whether on or off. They are tricky to fit, or at least I found it so, but my fingers are inherited from a long line of peasants! The problem I found was that the ‘chocolate block’ connector in the base kept moving during installation, that was until I noticed the two tiny pegs that locate it. Once I mastered those, the second light was significantly easier. They are very modern looking and I would think they would look good on a wall or fence outside. Great product.

Don't look any further for outside wall lights!
Almost without exception the existing reviews were most complimentary. This had much to do with me placing an order for nine of these wall lights. They arrived very promptly, were well packed and were exactly as described. The quality of the lights is to a very high standard, and my wife and I are delighted with their appearance. They might be just a little fiddly to connect up but the result is well worth the effort. Tremendous value, and highly recommended.

Look nice... Nightmare to install
These wall lights look great. They shine an attractive shape of light up and down the wall and are nicely finished. The main problem and reason for the 3 stars is that they are an absolute nightmare to install. The connector is housed in the base and is so fiddly to get the wires connected I ended up calling a friend who is an electrician who also found it a massive struggle and spent 4 hours to install 6 lights. When he finally finished he said they were the hardest fittings he had ever encountered. The finished look is great but be warned you may lose your mind if you try to install them yourself or spend a small fortune if you get a sparky to do it for you.
