This adapter is sleek, arrived quickly and came with a helpful instruction manual. I use it for my Wii. Installing it was slightly difficult as it took a few tries to get a picture on screen, though after fiddling around with the HDMI ports we managed to get it to work. Now I can use the Wii on my 4K TV effortlessly! You will need a HDMI cable and, of course, your Wii AV cables. This adapter comes with a USB which you'll need to plug from the adapter into the TV else it won't work. Plug those AV cables into the correct slots of the adapter, matching the colour scheme. Pop the HDMI cable from the opposite side of the adapter into your TV, and that's it. Picture wise, it was plug and play, with the picture being exactly as it should. However, do not expect this to upscale the resolution of your Wii as the console can only handle 480p. On that note, I can't review the 720p - 1080p switch. All in all, this adapter is worth the money. If you're like me and want to play your Wii with a modern TV, I'd recommend this product! :)

I bought this to allow my Nintendo Wii to be connected to my LG Smart TV. The unit is very easy to use and a little bit bigger than matchbox size. One USB cable is used to derive power and the other three connectors are for video and sound. One HDMI output to the TV. There are two picture quality settings - 720p and 1080p. It takes 2 mins to install and works very well. GANA customer service is excellent. Very pro-active and ready to help solve any issues. They want complete satisfaction and in my case enquired long after the unit had been delivered if all was OK. Nice product and nice people.

I took an ancient (almost stone age) video game to a friend with a brand new TV and I guessed correctly that I would need this adapter. Apart from the fact that you MUST remember to have your own HDMI cable, correct USB cable and plug for power (not supplied), the connection was easy, it worked first time and picture quality was OK - not better, because the adapter cannot improve the quality you probably started with i.e. an analog standard definition video typically at only 480i or 576i resolution . It's also easy to forget that you'll need a spare power socket near the TV because the adapter requires power. Quality seemed good - time will tell but, I don't think it's designed to be repeatedly connected and disconnected thousands of times. Without this adapter there would have been no extraordinarily enjoyable and competetive ten pin bowling on the telly over New Year so I'm very happy.

I have a laser disc karaoke player which I haven’t used in years and wanted to try to connect to my new Sony OLED TV which only has HDMI or AV cable connectivity. I tried an AV adapter cable but that doesn’t work. I looked on the internet and the advice was to try a RCA to HDMI converter. This seemed to be a product with good reviews and not too expensive so decided to give it a try. Of course you need the RCA and HDMI cables and it’s very simple to connect. You do have to plug in the USB for power and luckily I have a USB input on my Denon receiver. It’s small and does the job just fine. Picture from the laser disc player is still good, even after 20 years (equipment from those days was built to last longer).

I use this for my PS2. It does the job, but sometimes it glitches and makes the picture go black and white or trippy colours, which admittedly we found kind of cool at first but it gets pretty annoying. Switching back and forth on the picture quality modes (1080p, 720p) using the little switch works to fix it but it's still quite annoying when it interrupts a gaming session with your mates

I have been using this little bit of kit for about 3 years at least as an interface between the birdbox camera and a video monitor. Works really well for watching nestlings and mice in the bird box.

I purchased this 10 months ago. It worked fine but suddenly it stopped working. I called Amazon to get it replaced under the guarantee but I was surprised to be told that this new electrical product has only 6 months guarantee therefore I don't qualify for a replacement or refund. 1) According to "Sale of Goods Act" and the more up-to-date "Consumer Rights Act", all electrical goods sold must come with at least 1 year guarantee unless specifically specified. 2) The seller on this page does not specify that this item comes with 6 months guarantee, therefore the minimum 1 year guarantee should follow. 3) Amazon, didn't realise that they were in breach of UK laws when they first refused to replace/refund the cost of the faulty electrical product. After talking to the the Amazon agent for about 1 hour and then talking to an Amazon supervisor, I managed to get a refund (since a replacement was not available). I ended up buying another similar item but unfortunately it was more expensive. PLEASE NOTE: Amazon was originally adamant that I don't qualify for a replacement or refund, but when I quoted the UK law Acts, SUDDENLY they were willing to admit that they don't know anything about the law and agreed to give the refund. It's a shame that Amazon otherwise provides an amazing service to let themselves down when I needed their help the most.

I am about to upgrade the TV and realised that I wouldn't be able to plug in the Nintendo using the Red, Yellow, White plugs. After all these years I still use it for the fitness side and the grandkids love the games. This product had good reviews so I went for it. Plugged it all in and it worked straight away. I did buy an extra HDMI cable as I didn't have a spare. The device does need to be plugged into a power supply via a USB socket. So rather than use a USB plug adaptor (I am getting short on plug sockets) I have bought a double plug socket from Screwfix that comes with two USB sockets as well. It is a straight forward swop out. I have been swopping the double sockets out for ones with USB sockets as well normal plug sockets, around the house as so many items are being powered by USB and it saves using the USB adaptor plugs (although I accept some are fast charges as well).

Petit boitier sympa, compact et efficace. Bien que facile d’installation, petit moment de panique face à un écran bleu. Après avoir passé la sortie vidéo de la Ps2 en mode RGB, l'image s'affiche sans soucis. A noter également que le boitier dispose d'un switch permettant de basculer du 720p au 1080p à la volée. Le 720p me semble le plus adapté, le 1080p upscale étant relativement flou. Alimentation via USB, chargeur non fourni mais peut être alimenté via un des ports USB de la console. Que du bon pour le retrogaming!

Funciona. Lo he usado para conectar una retro-consola a un monitor de 24” 2K y la verdad es que funciona muy bien. El tamaño de pantalla ajustado (el monitor es 4:3 eso sí). No hay retraso entre la entrada y la conversión (el audio no lo convierto y está sincronizado) y lo uso para jugar y la respuesta en pantalla está sincronizada. Es un buen producto que espero me dure mucho. De hecho se ve mejor en el monitor con este adaptador que en una TV 4K con la entrada RCA y la conversión integrada en la TV. No creo que por este precio haya sólo que de más prestaciones.

Blev ganska besviken på bildkvaliteten som visades på min LG OLED 65". Förväntade förvisso inga storverk. Det går inte att avgöra om det är videobanden, videobanspelaren eller denna konverter som är den största flaskhalsen i kvalitetskedjan.

L'ho comprato per riuscire a collegare la playstation 1 e 2 ad un proiettore e devo dire che funziona perfettamente. Va alimentato esternamente (vi danno sì il cavo USB,ma non l'adattatore per la presa di corrente!) ma dovete avere il VOSTRO adattatore. Ad ogni modo si può usare qualsiasi adattatore per ricaricare i cellulari e funziona uguale. Naturalmente si deve usare a 1080p, per avere una buona qualità. L'ho comprato circa due anni fa e funziona ancora perfettamente, lo consiglio!
