I have used other means of cleaning out excess wax such as dripping oil in, lying for 15 minutes or so to let the oil soften the wax, and then squirting water into the ear to flush out the softened wax. The problem was that the squirting was very noisy and I worried my hearing would suffer. These ear wax removal tools are perfect. They do the job safely. There are several of them included in the pack in case one wears out. I doubt it will wear out any time soon because while being soft, it is very sturdy.

This thing works disgustingly well (I think people who rate it poorly for not working must already have clean ears and not realize it) disgusting because ear wax is gross.I had something similar to this, it came in a plastic case, unlike this one (zip-loc style bag), and it was larger, with a harder plastic spiral bits. That one had nothing on this ear cleaner. This one has a smaller handle and softer spiral bits.The results were repulsive, i.e. it worked.I found a card offering an Amazon gc in exchange for a 5⭐️ review, but really, they needn’t bothered, because I had planned on giving it the 5⭐️ anyway. I don’t do bribes, but I’ll be claiming the offer since they deserve the great rating. I’m happy with it.
