CTEK CTE-56573 Comfort Connect Cigarette Socket Adaptor

Perfect connection to allow comfort connector to my Porsche branded CTEK charger.

Works a treat.

The product is well-made, as you would expect with CTEK however there is what I think is an oversight in its design: there is no cap present to protect the cigarette-socket end from water. To be fair, there is no mention of one in the item description and no sign of a cap in the provided images, but for something which is marketed (at least partially) at the motorcycling fraternity, there will be the odd occasion when we have to ride in the rain and water ingress into the socket would be unavoidable. As the socket which is attached to the battery to which this connects has a rubber cover to protect from inclement weather, I find it surprising that no cap is included with this product but is seen on cheaper variations of the same. I'll just have to find a way of protecting it from the weather some other way.

Useful product which extends use of CTEK battery charger lead from battery to run an old car sat nav on my motorcycle without need to hardwire the sat nav.

If you have a use for this, it works great. An extra fuse in the box would have been nice but not a deal breaker.

Car 12 volt Auxiliary only operates whilst ignition is on. So this was a great product to link the the battery directly to the tyre compressor. However, the circuit is protected with a 5 amp fuse that blew within seconds. I think it needs to have either a 7.5 or 10 amp fuse to support the tyre compressor. Unclear as to why CTEK felt 5 amps should be the maximum load.

Just what i wanted for my 12 volt tyre compressor ,i connect one end of the cable with the crocodile clips to my spare 12 volt car battery and plug my tyre compressor into the cig socket. and i am able to inflate all the tyres without having to use the car lighter socket.

This item did the job that I wanted it to do and that was, that I could connect the end of the lead to a compatible connector which was already connected to the battery and in so doing, avoided me from finding an alternative method to connect the leads to the battery

There’s so much information that just didn’t make sense. I had Ctek eyelets in my existing battery that were not going to be easy to remove. This adapter 56-573 allowed me to provide a female cigarette lighter input source to charge my car battery. So my use case is as follows: Schumacher SPC3 battery tender with male cigarette lighter output —> female CTEK 56-573 —> CTEK eyelets. Once that worked I even threw a Schumacher wireless battery monitor into the mix and everything worked brilliantly! I highly recommend this product.
