Worked perfectly dyed my grey joggers and blue leggings both came out pitch black and covered the bleach stains but didn’t dye the printed logo, exactly what I wanted . So happy with the outcome. Have just ordered more

Bought this to add some more life into my very faded black denim skirt and shorts! My jeans had streaks after only a few washes so wanted to fix this too. They recommend one whole packet for 500g (about one pair of jeans) to full colour but as I was only retouching, I thought I’d add a black top that had a bleach mark on and a green cap I don’t wear as I don’t like the colour too! For reference, these are all a UK size 10.You can see the before and after photos but I’ll summarise below.Shorts & skirt: very impressed with how these turned out! Look brand new!Jeans: you can still see some of the faded streaks from before but they are less obvious and overall I’m pleased. Next time I’ll use a whole packet and just the jeans to get better results.Top: slight improvement on the bleach mark but not enough to wear sadly. It did say on the back of a packet that it could not guarantee fixing bleach stains.Cap: love how this turned out! Really liked how the writing wasn’t affected! Has a green tinge but I did have a few items in the wash. Will dye again another time with other items.The last two photos were taken after an empty wash of the washing machine to clean it. As others have mentioned, it does require a lot of machine washes - once to clean the clothes, then to dye them and then to wash the excess dye out of the clothes and clean the machine. It doesn’t say to run the machine empty to clean it but I did anyway. This can decrease the environmental benefit of not buying new clothes slightly. Even after I put the machine on for a quick wash when it was empty, there was a lot of dye left in the rubber seal which you can see so be warned! I managed to clean this with a paper towel though and then did a dark wash and all of my clothes were fine.Overall good product and I do recommend! Fewer the items the better but as you can see form my pictures you can put quite a few items in and get decent results!I will update my review after a few wears and washes to see how well the dye stays.

Did what it said it would do easy to use , no problem after used

I read all the reviews before I used this! I was so nervous but I did it - and it was fine - I ve used it in two different washing machines - followed the advice. It gives a beautiful deep black colour to faded items. For me its worked brilliantly. I used it to replensih 7grey long sleeved tops. These were heavy. It took three packets.I did them over three weeks. After using it - I did an empty hot wash with bleach as is recommendedthe tops were so deep black I was scared they would rub dye off onto white couches I was sitting on!It didnt happen. Now its times to buy some again.Only word of warning - it does break down the cotton particles slightly whenever its used. Its not something you can do all the time because more than once a year I think (in my experience) it would damage your clothes, it kinda thins them a bit. When You colour hair the hair particles on the fibre of the hair opened so the dye can fit in - this weakens hair...I can telll the tops have lost some strength in the cotton, but not to worry - I havent done my tops for three years so that goes show how long it lasts.If you coloured your tops once a year it would damage them.This is to give a new a lease life to something - machine wasnt damaged - I was so nervous about that!

Used this to dye a bleach stain on black jeans. Unfortunately did not really cover the stain, which still shows up as a grey patch. Had to deep clean my washing machine afterwards, it was all stuck in the seal. Waited a week to do a whites wash but now have black dots all over my white towels. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Works ok for a small amount of clothes

I was doubtful this would work on bleach stains after I spilt some on my black pants that then turned orange I used the intense black dye and my pants look brand new all bleach stains have vanished. Really easy to use, then after to make sure no dye in washing machine just run a empty cycle. I am amazed, if in future I get bleach on my clothes I will use this it worked for me. I did soak my pants in cold water and whitevinegar before hand to dilute the bleach then dried my pants, it does say make sure fabric is dry before using I think following all the instructions is a good idea.
