An excellent product
Ok. So I bought this as my car was getting battery drain completely unexplained. With this, it will show the continuous battery levels ...and backfil any data when the phone is away from the car.Utterly brilliant device ..and keeps me on top of battery health of the car...when in lockdown it just wasn't getting used.I had 2 ctek chargers fail in the decade...so it led me thinking the car was trickled..but wasn't and then the ensuing getting into the car..open the bonnet...charge the battery again etcStrongly recommend this product. Does what you want from it ..and installs easy quick onto the battery

Good idea but lead is a bit short and the socket a bit large
CTEK Indicator Lead with M8 eyelet. The lead is a good idea and has an inline fuse for protection. Beware that the basic lead (No status LED's) supplied with the CTEK chargers does NOT have an inline fuse so there is some risk with those leads if the cable gets trapped or some other short circuit occurs then there is no fuse to give protection. The other minor negative is the size of socket that CTEK have chosen to use as it is a bit chunky so can be a bit awkward in where/how to site it but it does have a push in rubber bung to keep the rain out when there isn't a charger plugged in.This Indicator Lead with the 3x LED's always has one out of the three LED's flashing at any given time to show the status. This means that if a charger is not connected, the LED is always drawing some current out of the battery it is connected to and will eventually discharge the battery - the time to flatten the battery will vary depending on the capacity of the battery.I measured the amount of current the flashing LED draws so I could make a rough calculation for how long it would take on different battery to discharge the battery. I used a multimeter with a Min/Max/Average function to capture the current draw as obviously it varies as the LED flashes.Measured over approx 60 seconds gave;-Min Current = 1.32mAMax Current = 3.52mAAverage Current = 1.52mABy my calculations that means the LED Indicator Lead will consume 256mAh in a week, or 1.13Ah in a month.Worth bearing in mind if you have a small battery permanently connected and perhaps don't connect the charger over summer then there will be a significant loss from powering this LED lead. With a charger connected then there is no loss as the charger will drive the LED's.Don't understand why the identical lead but with the M6 eyelets fitted is twice the price at the time of writing (Oct 2020) ?Overall it's a good device that gives a useful indication of how charged the battery is with a quick glance.

Simple idea giving piece of mind.
I have the standard "comfort" charging sockets on all my bikes and the farm quad etc. I chose this indicator one to fit to my touring bike. It only gets used for camping trips so it tends to sit for long periods. Ordinarily I just stick it on charge once a month but using this clever wee device I can top it up exactly when it needs it.The LEDs are easy to see and the cable is easily long enough to route it from the battery terminals to the outside of the bike frame. The cable insulation feels like good quality as are the eyelets and the socket itself.Smart idea that should help extend the battery life.
