After reading some mixed reviews, I was dubious about these. I figured that for the price of one item from a pet shop, getting 5 with a case, was worth chancing. Really glad I did! Both pairs of scissors meet well and are sharp, there are no unfinished edges anywhere and I'm pretty sure they are stainless steel, they look and feel like it, have a nice weight to them and I've used them several times now, still shiny! The people purporting rust must not have dried them before putting them away! Stainless steel will mark and discolour if left wet constantly. The tweezers are well made and very easy to use. I have chronic illnesses that mean my joints hurt, especially thumb and wrists, so if I can use them without pain or cramping ... Honestly, I'm really unclear what people were expecting when giving these bad reviews, they are everything I could have hoped for at a great price and a handy, smart case!

I bought this set as I've started to change my aquarium from plastic plants to live plants and needed to get rid of some algae on the front glass pane. I had used other products like algae scourers but they didn't get rid of everything in one go. I've just used this scraper now and it has removed everything quite easily. You can even feel it scraping it off which is quite satisfying. The case is sturdy and has a good quality zip and inside everything is held in place with two pockets and velcro fasteners keeping everything in place. The set itself comprises two scissors, one straight and one curved, the scraper and also two tongs where one is also straight and one is curved. As for the scraper I was holding it at the end of the handle for the deeper parts of the aquarium and behind the scraper itself for the top of the aquarium as I found there was more control then. The tongs are good and you can use these quite easily for planting plants or picking up any debris. Have not used the scissors yet but they do look and feel good quality and quite sharp. Overall a good quality set which I would definately recommend to anyone wanting a good aquarium set for their own setup.

Tools appear adequete quality, bag is a nice touch. Unfortunately the zip on the bag is damaged / tab is broken. It's not enough to make it unusable and I won't bother sending it back, just making it known.

A good starter kit for aquascaping. It’s not amazing quality but for the price it’s definitely worth it. The professional aquascaping tools cost a fortune so if you’re just looking for some handy tools to start out with, this kit is perfect. I love that it comes in a zip up case so I can store everything neatly. Although I would say that I wish the case was a little bit thicker as the curved scissors can be a bit hard to put in sometimes but that’s a minor flaw.

Very pleased with the quality for the price, definite value for money compared to other places that sell one tool for the same price! You get a great a case included which is ideal for storing nicely, the scissors cut well and the weight to them is good too...If I had to say anything I'd note that I will be going round the edges of the products with wire wool as the edges are only every so slightly sharp for my liking, and as my toddler is "helping me" I'd prefer the tools be a bit smoother but for the price I'm not complaining!

You can pay a fortune for these individually from other makers so 1st impression is great value for money . Not the very best quality ones but not mega expensive either . ( lost a star for this ) . Comes in a handy zip up storage holder . Handy for use in the aquarium without always having to get your hands wet . Not ideal for deeper aquariums like mine though . I do hope they never rust . My case arrived with a tare in it . Can recommend . Would definitely buy again . If they don't rust they should last for years ! This is my honest opinion .
