Philips Series 1000 Showerproof Body Groomer - BG105/10

I have been using the Philips Series 1000 Body Groomer with Skin Protector Guards for over six years now, and I am still very impressed with it. I initially used it with rechargeable batteries that I recharged with a separate charger, and they have been working perfectly fine.One of the things I love most about this body groomer is that it is very safe to use, even on sensitive areas. The skin protector guards do a great job of protecting my skin from the blades, and I have never cut myself with it. Obviously due care and attencion is needed, aslong as your sensible you can have a nick free experienceAnother thing I love about this body groomer is that it is very effective at trimming hair. The blades are still as sharp as they were when I first bought the body groomer, and they can easily trim hair of all lengths.The body groomer is also very easy to use and clean. It is waterproof, so I can use it in the shower or bath. It is also very easy to disassemble and clean the blades.Overall, I am very happy with the Philips Series 1000 Body Groomer with Skin Protector Guards. It is a well-built, effective, and safe body groomer that is easy to use and clean. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Does a sufficient job for its worth.I opened this as soon as I got it, and plugged the battery in rushing to the toilet. Jumped into the bathtub dry (the reviews seem to suggest that this works poorly on wet hairs - and I agree!) and started buzzing away. It cleaned me up on a macro scale quite well on my chest and pits.When using it in the pubic region, one should take note of ones hair length/thickness if this trimmer is to be used effectively. The battery powered motor will have a hard time and WILL pull out hairs. Thus it is essential the hair is trimmed down to a suitable level (im Pakistani so suffer from very thick hair). Other than that the trimmer does a great job producing a very smooth trim on the groin. (I took the guard off here for maximum closeness.)On the sack, the trimmer IMO performs poorly. Due to the need of the guard to prevent nicks, cutting length is lower which is un-ideal for me as I like to be 100% hair free down there. It can be done but requires MANY passes. Nonetheless after 1HOUR, I managed to get my lower parts very nice and clean, and it also feels comfortable.The last area which I used it was the anal region and let's just say it did the job.Overall this trimmer is a bargain at the current price, but I would definitely opt for a more powerful model running on better batteries. The motor in this just lacks the power to provide a quick trim. This one is fine if you're willing to take the time (1 hour in my case) to get a clean and close trim.

A good price, for an very good trimmer.Trimming your sensitive areas can sometimes be a bit scary, especially when you know how easy it is to hurt yourself (especially with "normal" trimmers).At first, you might still be a bit scared. But after using it few times, you get more confident, and you see that it can't hurt you.PROS:- Very good value for money- Easy trim of sensitive areas without any risk of hurting yourself- Trims the hair short enough to have a smooth skin for few weeks- Easy to use- Two different trim sizes (both of them for short trim)- Does not irritate the skin- Small enough to take it with you for holidays etc.CONS:- Battery doesn't last if you keep it inside when stored (I would advise to take it off when stored)- Sometimes hair get stuck inside and it can a little bit tricky to clean (even with a little brush)- Red plastic cord does not hold well on the product and often falls off- Does not really work under water, hair is hard to trim when wet. It is better to trim them when dry- A little bag or pocket for storage would have been appreciatedConclusion:For the price, this trimmer is excellent. Very simple, it makes it easy to use. Your sensitive areas will be protected from cut, you won't hurt yourself with this product.Not as powerful as other more expensive trimmers, but it is enough to trim easily all your sensitive areas.For this price, I would recommend to everyone who wants an easy and risk-free way of trimming your sensitive areas to purchase the product.

This is a good product if your only using it on fine hair but for me a mixed race guy with thicker hair it's not so good as it takes multiple swipes over the same area to do the job and thats if it ain't got clogged up which it does very quickly, in which case you have to stop and clean it.Also does miss hairs often but does work better in the shower.So I've given it my brother rather then sending it back as it's a good item just not useful enough for me
