Cutting edge pocket knife
Swiss Army knife, what more really needs saying . Excellent piece of kit bought to replace my last which I had confiscated by “security “ I really missed the convenience of its multi purpose design . Now replaced

Excellent piece.
It's extremely well made. I mean EXTREMELY well made. An absolute magnum opus. The chassis rings like a bell when you flick the tools back into place. Such tight engineering tolerances. No surprise it comes with a lifetime guarantee. Some minor issues compared to the [discontinued] Wenger version. The scissors are not quite as well thought out as the Wenger version which featured serrated blades and a more robust spring mechanism which was integrated into the chassis. The scissors on this have a flimsy spring placed between the handles, and no serrated edges. Still excellent because of the build quality though. My main problem is the hook is extremely difficult to pull out. I had to take the key ring off and use that to pull the hook out. This is fine as I'll probably never use the hook but it seems like a design flaw.Plus points are it's so well put together. The Wenger version is made by experts but this is made by the people who taught the experts. It really is something you could leave to your children. Very happy indeed with it.In an ideal world this would have the Wenger scissors and can opener [the can opener on this is perfectly fine, but the Wenger version was a little more versatile due to the very sharp hardened tip] with the Victorinox build quality. I'd rate them both equally, Wenger loses a point on build but gains one on innovation, Victorinox loses a point on innovation but gains one on build.10/10

These are getting expensive
This is my 5th Swiss Army knife and I have 3 "lost" in the house. No doubt they will now turn up. That said it's good to have a new, easy to open and sharp new one. It's such a pity they are now the wrong side of £25. But, they are beautifully made and this one will be kept in a safe place!

Compact and excellent quality
I was very impressed by the quality of this item. The blades and other things are very sturdy. The size makes it a nice compact fit for any pocket, handbag, wash bag or rucksack. Even hanging on a keyring.I purchased one for travelling use and it lived in my wash bag side pocket, coming in very handy for opening packets and many other uses. The only issue I found that was it was initially quite hard to pull the different accessories out, they were quite stiff. Anyone without long or strong fingernails or chubby fingers would struggle a bit. However, with more use, things do get easier.I can understand the need for the items to be held tightly in place, but for some, this may be a little frustrating for access.

Victorinox - the one and only
I have half a dozen SAK and bought this for my godson as he needs a handy device now he is a home owner. Lets hope he gets as much use out of one as I have done over the years.

Excellent Compact Tool
I bought this to replace a Leatherman Wave multitool which I used to carry. The problem with the Leatherman is that it has a locking blade so if a policeman spots it you could be arrested for carrying an offensive weapon. This Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is legal to carry. It is not quite as useful as the Leatherman but has about 90% of the utility whilst being smaller and less obtrusive.
