Over the years I've used a lot of different earphones, including some highly regarded brands. Given their generally delicate nature most of them have stopped functioning within a year, and often within months, although to be fair I never usually go beyond £20 because the risk of losing them doesn't seem worth the outlay, much like with sunglasses. I've always found Sony to be the best value for money as they sound good and are surprisingly durable, lasting a couple of years. I recently upgraded to a 64GB iPhone SE, abandoning my somewhat ancient iPod Touch (now attached to my home stereo system) and my tired old iPhone 4S (16Gb). As such, I wanted some new earphones that would work with the new phone. Sony's aren't that compatible, and I find Apple's uncomfortable, and I have no interest in Bluetooth one. So I thought I give these Betron ones a try. In the time I've been using them, I am impressed. They are comfortable in the ear and block out a good amount of external sound without having to crank up the volume. Construction seems excellent with a good thick cable, but time will tell. The mic and remote work perfectly with the phone. Sound quality is superb, especially at the price. I'm no audiophile, and from going to way too many live gigs my hearing probably isn't as acute as it could be (I do wear proper earplugs at gigs because it's the sensible thing to do), but they do seem to have a good range of highs and bass, and while listening to MP3s on a phone will never match listening to a CD through speakers on a hi-fi, they do sound nice and crisp. I did try them on my hi-fi and there was almost too much bass, but a tweak of the EQ settings could remedy that. All round I'm very happy with them would recommend them to anyone looking for quality at an affordable price.

These earphones are great, especially for the price. The overall sound quality is fantastic, really clear and crisp the only exception being that the sharpness does fade a bit when the volumes really turned up, but most do anyway. I listen to a variety of genres, from dubstep to classical (hans Zimmer) to reggae to rock and these earphones perform wonderfully, the bass is awesome, really gives songs that extra kick, the treble is also really good, has no problem dealing with the prodigy's electronic tones.I have rated these headphones 5 stars for the following: The brilliant sound quality, the aesthetic design, which is a bit different and unique to others, the design in general, the fact that the actual earphones detach from the cable is something that I have never seen and have always wanted, the amount of times I have snagged them and they have detached is un countable, but it is a feature that has saved the wire from snapping. But by no means do they come off easy, they are secure definitely won't just fall off. Finally the price! These earphones are leaps and bounds over most 4,5x there price and as an added bonus they work with android! My previous skullcandy earphones just stopped working with my phone (htc one) £45 wasted, enough said.The packaging was very nice as well, although made out of card, it felt very solid and good quality, also the travel bag was is much better than most, the material is thick and feels nice to hold, not just a bit of cloth like you usually get. Oh and something I forgot to mention, they come with a clip to secure to your clothes whilst on the move, it can be placed anywhere on the wire and s great for doing sport, I should know as I cycle pretty much everywhere. That is also another credit to them, wind noise hardly got through and sound quality didn't decrease what so ever.I highly recommend these earphones you will not be disappointed!

I bought these as I recently got a new iPhone. The challenge being that I wanted something that was good, but not too expensive as I have kids who always nick my stuff. These earphones were delivered quickly and came in a good presentation box. I plugged them in to my phone and I was amazed at the quality of the sound coming through. They don't tangle easily and they are easily recognisable. So I would recommend these earphone to anyone wanting to hear good quality sound, at a reasonable price. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that they would not fit in to my ears. They kept falling out. I had to go out and buy new ear buds. The other small nagging point is that the volume control is a slide, so if you need to increase the volume to be louder you have to increase the volume on the phone as well

I bought the black earphones with mic and volume control to replace a pair of RHA's I've had for years. They arrived a day earlier than the expected delivery date. The sound quality of these earphones is great, with a good level of bass and a clear sound. The only thing I would say is that on very bass-heavy tracks at loud volumes there is a buzzing sound present in the background; but if you're looking to listen to that kind of music a lot you probably would want to invest in a higher quality set of headphones anyway. Unlike my old earphones, which would often fall out if I was eating or running (I tried many different ear buds), these stay in very easily and comfortably with the buds that were on them in the packet. The controls and mic work excellently, with a button for volume up, volume down and play/pause/skip forward/skip back. I was also pleasantly surprised by the "tangle free" cord; while the cord does tangle per se just like any would, its design means that it immediately straightens with very little effort, rather than being left in a difficult to undo knot like many other designs.In summary, these are a great little pair of earphones, especially for the price. And if you're looking for a quality set on a low budget I would highly recommend them.
