Great product as I would expect from Sony
I do like Sony headphones and walkmans! I looked at these because they were Sony and the reviews were good. These headphones are great. They are comfortable, the sound is great and adjustable on one ear as well as you being able to adjust your television volume, therefore the range of volume is great. I have found the range of signal to be everything I need and can use them in a different room and not miss anything. They charge well. I will happily buy this product again.

These are fantastic and comfortable wireless headphones with great sound
The only downside was that my LG television only had optical audio and no 3.5mm headphone socket or red and white composite audio output. Sony are so good unlike LG that I bought a new JVC 32” TV with a 3.5mm headphone socket for 119 quid and the whole set up works perfectly now - the base station is in my living room but the wireless headphones are not impeded by the wall from my living room to the bedroom. Perfection

Classic old school headphones
This was the first TV headphones I purchased along time ago, and I decided to go back to it because its imperfections has benefits. Such as, the headphones are bigger than other quality headphones, however, the reason it has bigger headphones, is because you open the cover and add two AAA batteries if you wish. The signal doesn't break or drop off either. The only flaws are that it has an old style cable to hook up to the headphones to recharge. The headphones don't cut off when the audio has silent breaks but the audio output has to be at maximum level or it turns off. That's not a great problem because the volume control is marvellous.Lastly, I purchased another TV headphones, so, I can compare the sound quality and the Sony headphones has some white noise, a very low background noise, but nothing that will hamper the listening experience.

Brilliant for the money.
15 years ago I bought a pair of Sennheiser 800Mhz wireless headphones and they lasted until last year. (quality counts). When they finally expired I purchased a few pair of Bluetooth headphones and while the sound quality was adequate, the range was terrible! My house is average size but my Bluetooth phones would not work in my kitchen or bathroom. They either kept cutting out intermittently or were totally silent. So I decided to but a new pair of 800Mhz headphones. My old Sennheisers cost 150 quid but I bought these Sony headphones from Amazon Warehouse for 35 quid. I did not expect them to be brilliant but adequate. I was very pleasantly surprised! There was a slight hiss when the input signal was absent but once the audio was present, it was crisp and clear with good treble and bass content. Volume was fully adjustable from very quiet to super loud. I tried these Sony phones throughout the house and they worked flawlessly everywhere including my kitchen and bathroom. So I went into my garden and they still worked well. So as an experiment as it was early morning and not many people about, I went out of my gate down the road and out of our street and to the local newsagents to pick up a morning paper and they still worked 100% with no dropouts of audio. Our newsagents is 120 yards away. Try doing that with Bluetooth! I find these an absolute bargain price and excellent quality for the money.

Fit for purpose.
Sony MDR-RF811RK cordless headphone review. These look like they were designed for giants and can easily be worn with a beanie (actually useful if used on cold days in the shed or garden!) but having said that, I did not buy them for their aesthetic qualities and they automatically adjust very easily and are reasonably comfortable. Use of AAA batteries offer sufficient listening time between charges, presumably also with weight considerations in mind, important for prolonged listening comfort.I have 3 pairs of cordless headphones, each of different brand and price range and claiming ‘up to 100m range’. The MDR-RF811RK’s sit in the middle, about twice the price of the budget pair (my first foray into cordless) and about three times cheaper than the most expensive. The perceived advantage of ‘up to 100m range’ is that I can use them anywhere in my average sized 3-bedroomed property with small garden. I generally listen to music for long periods at low volume and occasional focused ‘listening sessions’ with the volume cranked up somewhat higher.Verdict: The MDR’s offer very good sound quality for their price and are a big improvement on the budget pair. Use of neodymium magnets and 40mm drivers offered a clue. They are usable throughout my property, including gardens front and back, shed, loft and garage, with minimal dead spots. By contrast, the 3X more expensive pair unsurprisingly offer superior sound quality, though not nearly as big an improvement as with the budget pair and still better comfort, but at a price and are badly let down by their inferior range in practice – virtually unusable in locations through two or more walls just a few metres beyond the transmitter. In practice they are limited almost to same room as source listening. It was this failing which prompted me to look for a supplementary pair of budget to mid-priced headphones for general listening which sound good and work acceptably throughout my modest suburban estate. The MDR’s deliver in terms of good sound quality and overall practicality at a very competitive price. Definitely fit for purpose!
