Helix R36011 Oxford 31cm 45 & 60 degree Set Squares

It's a ruler and it measures things. Does what it's made for lol. Price was good also.

I bought these set squares to assist me when completing an Astro Navigation course which required producing exceedingly accurate plotting and charts using a Sextant. I was very impressed by the quality and accuracy of the scales on the set squares. The set squares were very rigid providing excellent straight edges to draw along. I have other mathematical and plotting instruments produced by Helix so had no hesitation in purchasing these set squares. The set squares are sent in a firm card envelope which doubles up a ideal folder to store the set squares when not in use. Such plastic mathematical products are susceptible to inadvertent scratches and marking which could over time impair their meaningful use

Dropped a star because the minimum quantity to buy was 2. Who needs 2 of them? As far as the compass is concerned, its very good, sturdy and does exactly what its supposed too. Would I buy again, no need to because I've already got a spare that I didn't need in the first place. Yes I know its because its a cheap item and delivery needs to be taken into consideration but I would have happily paid a sensible delivery charge to cut down on wastage.

This is really quite a small compass and the needle point could be sharper. The sizes of potential circles are quite small and the gap with the pencil is too small for any of my other pens- which is one of the main reasons I bought it. A bit disappointed but I suppose it would be better for high school Maths and not art projects
