200 Litres - The Chamberlain Wooden Raised Grow Bed

These are great value beds. I wanted to do some more no dig beds in my garden and found these, they are perfect. I’ve butted 3 of them up to each other and will also plant some companions in the gaps between them. The first bed took me a while to do but once I got the hang of it, they were quite quick, just need a hammer and they slot together well. Done all 3 in an hour. Big thumbs up from me!

This was very poor quality when first received, with mis-shaped boards and broken ends. However when I contacted the seller they very quickly sent a replacement which was much better quality. The raised bed was easy to put together and is quite sturdy. I'm now very happy with the final result. Special shout out to the courier who had to carry the heavy item by hand for the last few hundred yards in the rain!

It is a good size. Fairly solid. Not perfect but for the cost of it very good value. Very easy to assemble.

I am very happy with this raised bed. Although it is pressure treated, I added my own wood treatment to get the colour I wanted. It was very easy to put together and looks like it will be strong. You can buy with confidence, the customer service was great when I had a problem. I'm going to buy a couple more for next year, and friends have also been impressed when they have seen it.

I'd already bought from here before and the earlier one was really good quality. This one is awful, the wood was damp, some of the corners had broken off making construction difficult and some of the notches were in the wrong place so I had to get a hacksaw out to create a larger notch. I read the bad reviews before buying but thought they were one offs as my earlier purchase was good. They are not one offs, do not buy this item

After reading some negative reviews I thought that maybe I'd bought the wrong product. However, it arrived quickly. I had one split near one of the notches, easily fixed with a screw. How to put it together. My tool of choice. A rubber headed mallet. 1) Take a good hard look at the photographs. Notice that there are thick pieces and thin pieces. 2) Take two tick pieces and place them to your right and left hand side. 3) Take two thin pieces; place one in front of you, one behind. 4) You are now standing in the middle of a square. Use your mallet to join the four pieces at the cut notches. 5) Once you have a square frame, it is probably best to turn the whole thing over. 6) Place a thick slat over the thin slat of your square frame. Using the mallet, join four thick slats to add a second layer to your frame. 3) Form the third layer using two thick slats and two thin ones. As with the bottom of the frame, thick ones go opposite thick ones, thin ones go opposite thin ones. Much harder to describe the process than to actually do it. Took me 20 minutes. It took 250 litres of compost to fill it.

For the money its very reasonable, the wood is treated and assembly is very simple although the only one concern i had was some of the pieces of wood where they slot into were broken but was a easy fix thus the reason for the 4 star rating but all in all a great raised bed for the money would highly recommend!!!

I'm sure the product is very good but turned up in a dreadful state. Also came without instructions .Pretty poor around.

Est ce que c'est une blague? J'ai reçu 8 planches, très fines, pas emballées, fissurées, sans notices de montage .... J'ai acheté ça car j'avais la flemme d'en fabriquer ... Hahaha la bonne blague! Ça fait cher le bois dites donc !
