My first Marantz: No chance it's my last Marantz
This amp is awesome and frankly, I'm relieved. I was beginning to doubt the ability of anyone to produced a quality audio product anymore. My previous amp was a 5.1 110W channel system but ultimately a frustrating experience because everything sort of half worked. The 5.1 was a hot mess, and the second zone could only be used with an analogue source like the Tuner. if I wanted to listen to digital music source like Spotify or iTunes in my zone 2, I had to use a separate A/D converter. The menu system was garbage and if you lost the remote it was a PITA to turn on zone 2 because the display didn't really show you the navigation. OK, why do I care so much about zone 2? Well for someone who cares about both MOVIES and MUSIC, throwing a party with sound piping into the kitchen ( my designated zone 2) is awesome, and now I can listen to 2 separate things in each zone regardless of whether I'm using the CD transport, the tuner, vinyl or digital music from HDs on my local network. Long story short, there are no caveats here, the Marantz just works. The menus are easy to navigate and intuitive. The physical buttons on the front mean I don't need to find the remote or turn on the TV to navigate the menus. It may be minimal but it gives you the basics which is all we really care about when we want to listen to something. The Marantz performs that central function more than admirably - it sounds great. It can get pretty hot but it looks and sounds cool. I totally recommend this.

Perfect for majority of customers and houses.
Perfect ! I was in doubt between Cinema 50 and 40. The 50 fulfilled my demand with honor. It is now in my living room featuring excellent top notch quality sound. The cinema 50 sounds great !

Cinema 50
The Cinema 50 is a is a wonderful AV Receiver. Easy to set up and sounds great with plenty of connectivity and listening options. Very fast shipping from ListenUp. My second Marantz from them. Very happy with the purchase both times.

Cinema 50. Go for it!
Watched multiple YouTube videos and procrastinated somewhat, pleased I made the decision to go with the Cinema 50. If you are looking for a home theater experience with exceptional sound quality this is it! I have KEF R3’s with a SVS subwoofer and Klispch ceiling speakers. The sound is outstanding for both music and home theater. Don’t hesitate to get the Cinema 50, truly impressive and the plus, the design of the Cinema 50 looks super cool! Just do it!

Great for vinyl. Problems encountered with ARC and over the air antenna broadcast.
I switched from Onkyo and it's not living up to the hype. For starters, it was a pain to set up. NOT for the faint of heart. Most of the functionality required me to use the app. I'm guessing the app is a ticking time bomb. I expect the receiver to be a $2500 brick in a few years. So, buyer beware. Does it sound better than my decade plus aged Onkyo? A little. Vinyl--I have to say it does sound warmer. But, that's where the love ends. Everything else is about the same or perhaps slightly worse. My old receiver was apparently faking the center channel feed. With this receiver, my TV doesn't send center channel info, so I'm getting 2.0 instead of L/C/R when watching TV from over the air antenna. Old receiver "faking the center feed" did so remarkably well. This is a huge downgrade in my opinion. When it turns into a brick I will fully regret this purchase. I hope that day is at least a decade away.

Marantz Cinema 50 Nightmare
I bought this receiver in October 2022, I am now returning the second one. The first problem was earlier this year when I started get erird noises in the speakers. Service Center could not fix it so Marantz sent me a "Renewed" replacement. That receiver kept shutting off randomly and I had to remove the power cord in order yo get it yo power back on. This happened 4 times, even after two factory resets. I found a newer firmware and installed that. The problem went away until last weekend when I was flipping through stations on my nVidia Shield and the receiver powered off again. This time there was nothing I could fo to get it back on. Phone support was good as far as having me try some things to reset it. Nothing worked so they were suppose to escalate up to senior management. I never heard anything for 3 days so I followed up with Chat Support (Cesaer). He was useless and none empathetic. I waited 3-4 days to get a return label, nothing. I followed up with phone support and they are having me take it to a service center 50 miles away. Needless to say, I will never buy another Marantz product or even a Denon product ever again. Be forewarned, if you have a problem with your receiver and they send you a replacement, you just inherited someone else's headache. They could care less about how much money you spend. I will proceed to get this fixed but I am going to sell it once it is. I have already order my Emotive XMC-2+ and sent my XPA-5 in to be upgraded to 9 channels. Good bye Marantz!

So far so great!
This is not inexpensive but has everything I wanted and more - I am using it to run a 5.1.2 system with bi-amped front speakers and all is smooth after 2 months or so. I also use it to play music quite often and it does booth that and the Dolby Atmos equally well IMO. This is my third AV Receiver in ~ last decade - the previous two lasted several years each but this time I bought a fan system as well so hoping this will ensure this one lasts longer!

Marantz sound in an extremely capable AVR.
No issues thus far. Sounds fantastic as a 2 channel stereo. Sounds amazing with a full 7.2.4 Atmos setup. Drives everything that I've thrown at it. I have no complaints about sound quality or performance. Video performance is excellent as well. Passes through 120hz 4k from a PS5 to a capable Sony Bravia TV, with proper settings. Ultimately, I've been very happy with this receiver.
