Exactly the amount of rollers I needed

Good quality
Having used heated dollars for quite a few years , I decided to try and smaller set as I never used all the curlers in the set , far too many. This set is perfect, .made of very robust materials, just the right amount of curlers for my long hair , 10 mins to heat up . Brilliant, wish I'd bought them before instead of wasting time and electricity heating a larger set .

Not so good
I purchased these rollers as a 'they may come in useful' product especially as a travel item and with holidays looming. Had cause to use them recently and what a disappointment. I had already checked beforehand that the electrics were OK and that rollers heated up etc. Having to use them properly for the first time I found that 4 of the rollers did not heat up but I havent worked out yet if it's the actual rollers or if it is the elec stump that they heat up on. Needless to say I'm very disappointed but I fear its too late to write to Treseme and anyway I have discarded all the packaging etc to return. 4 rollers not working out of 12 is a third waste of money so be warned. You might be lucky with yours but I wasn't - shame. Not good value at all obviously. Just realised 10 rollers not 12 - therefore even worse value - almost 50%. Note: I gave review above oafter my first use. Since then I have left rollers longer to heat up - maybe about 30mins or so and have found that all the rollers worked alright/ok. I think I may have been a bit hasty on my first review - apologies to all concerned.

Do not looking for lasting curls here! Inferior Product.
I'm taking time to write the review I wish I *could have seen* before purchasing this item. I am from the US, but visit friends in England every year. While despairing over my overloaded luggage at Christmas time, it occurred to me that I could save some needed space by ordering myself some hot rollers which I could keep in the UK (why didn't I think of this sooner, I said to myself!). I have long thick hair that I have used hot rollers on since I was a teenager. I am well versed in using hot rollers and have owned several sets, so I know of what I speak. The reason these travel rollers are so terrible is that they consist of only a thin plastic shell and there is NO insulation in them whatsoever. Many people have remarked how long it takes for these to heat up. That is true, and mainly it is because there is nothing inside them to hold the heat in the first place. The size of the roller is nice for a loose curl, but i guarantee that it won't last unless you put a lot of styling product on your hair first. My normal every day use (and travel sized set in one) is by Remington and has wax cores that retain heat while they are curling your hair for a long-lasting bouncy curl. If you have thin hair, this TreSemme set may work better for you, but you will have to load a lot of your hair onto each roller in order to get the clip to stay in place. For those who said they can't get the clips to work - know that there must be plenty of hair wrapped around each roller to get it to stay on your head. You need to position the clip so that the straight bit is on top and the crooked end is working into the scalp area. Sometimes I jiggle it a bit as I work it in to get a firm hold. Hope these comments help. In the meantime, I suggest finding some "Remington Style Ceramic Compact Hot Rollers" or something similar. Note: I personally don't have use for the super small rollers some sets have and so have bought two of them and combined the rollers to have one set of larger sized rollers. As they are only about the equivalent of 13 pounds each in the US, so it is still a good deal.
