I doubt if it would help in that situation. I think that the idea is that the mesh frame gives support when the back is not getting it from the chair. In a coach it ought to be possible to sit back and be well supported. Perhaps if the coach seat were not well-designed, it might help to have the mesh support. Sorry not to be more helpful.

I don't use it on a car seat but on my office chair it not only helps with posture but also with air flow, so I do keep cooler. Perhaps it depends on the design of the car seat to some extent?
