Q: Why is this one twice as expensive as the Tru Fit? For dogs well under 75lbs, is there any reason to get this over tru fit?

The Impact Harness is crash tested for dogs up to 108 pounds. The price difference comes with the design and type of materials used. The Enhanced Strength Tru Fit harness is crash tested for dogs up to 75 pounds, and serves as a dual purpose car and walking harness. If your dog is under 75 pounds, there really would be no added benefit to getting the Impact harness over the Enhanced Strength Harness. The Impact will generally be a better option for dogs over 75 pounds to use as a dedicated car harness.

Q: can the dog move around some? my pitt-mix is on the seat then the floor what will this harness allow him to do ?

I think the point of this harness is to lock the dog on to the seat just like we would be locked if we had a seatbelt on. But I suppose putting an extension like a leash on to it would probably accomplish what you're looking for. Though, not entirely sure this harness would be effective this way, but there's no warning about that in the instructions http://www.kurgo.com/product-instructions/#Harnesses
