I've been using it a lot since I bought it, time of year. I'm about 5' 9" and 9 1/2 stone(a skinny git!). After a month or so of using it daily I have got muscles like Arnold Swarchenegger. It is not overly heavy but coupled with the strength of wind coming out of the end it will soon build you up. It really is the business. Starts on the button and man enough to get out the Sycamore seeds buried deep in the grass. I don't know if they do a shoulder harness for this but would think they do. That would be the thing. It's brilliant!

Q: Is this model as good as the Husqvarna 225.Swaying between these models . price difference is £80.Is the blowing power output adequate on this model

Don't know anything about the Husqvarna but the Makia is an excellent machine. Easy to start and blows strong enough to move grass, leaves and small pieces of debris. Has given me no problems in two years of very frequent use.

Q: The engine on my blower is getting very hot. Do I need to add something? Oil perhaps?

As part of the start up procedure, it is essential that the separate oil 'tank' is checked with the measuring stick connected to the cap - Only a small amount of oil is required, but check the instruction leaflet that comes with the blower. Then check that 4* unleaded petrol tank is topped up. Great machine that starts first time every time!
