LG 43UJ750V 43 inch 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart LED TV (2017 Model)

LG 49UJ750V 49 inch 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart LED TV (2017 Model) I have just bought the 49” model of this LG 4K TV after much research on 4K TV's. It arrived undamaged and needed the help of my wife to assemble as I did not realise just how large this TV is. After assembly, I connected up the Virgin Tivo (standard) box, as I don't have the Tivo 6 yet, and connected a 4 year old blue ray player and fired the TV up. It was easy to set up and I just followed the on screen instructions. It first scanned the Terrestrial DTV programs and stored them, and then I moved to the Tivo box. I decided to use an Ethernet cable for the super hub 2 router rather than wireless and had no trouble. The picture quality is astonishing when watching standard HD content, and 4K is unbelievable when watching a 4K Netflix film. Even standard definition is upscaled to a reasonable picture and so far we have been over the moon with the quality of this TV. We noticed very intermittent audio dropout from the Tivo box and hopefully when virgin send us a Tivo 6 this will be improved, there is no audio drop-out when streaming from Netflix via the TV app of watching TV programs such as BBC etc. Audio itself is again fantastic, music is a pleasure to listen to, and films have that surround sound quality to them. So far there is no dodgy pixels or banding, blacks look good and no backlight bleed that some buyers experience. After tweaking to my personal taste, this model TV is some serious kit. Shame that Virgin media Tivo (standard) seems to want to throttle bandwidth now and then, so, I just stream through the router and no more problems. Magic remote takes a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of hourse tweaking and exploring, I now like it very much. Our previous TV was a 1080p 32” LG, which we owned for the past 7 years with no problems and also good quality, but the new 750V is something else altogether. I managed to bag this for £589 on Amazon, and I am very pleased with it. just hope it lasts as long as the one it replaced, therefore gets a big 5 stars from me.

To set context, this TV and Soundbar are replacing a Sony 46” TV and Onyko 2.1 sound system bought in 2013. I mainly watch movies and sport (and as a punishment - Love Island). Not your usual quick Amazon delivery as I ordered it on 28 Aug and received it on 06 Sep. But the price made it a very compelling buy and was circa £300 cheaper than the nearest rival. Day 1 with the tv was a bit of a let down. Not so much because of the tv but because of the rubbish internet I have (only 17-20 mb). I could not really test the 4K. Unless you wire the TV to the router, you may be disappointed unless you have a strong, fast internet. The TV is nicely built with the set up relatively painless. It took a lot of tries to get the Sonos SoundBase to work with the TV (search online for the solution - Sonos is not listed as one of the scores of Soundbar manufactures!). WebOS and the Magic Remote needs a bit of practice and not all the functions are mapped over from the Sky remote. But, WebOS is very good and much better than Sony’s offering. In the 21st Century why TV manufactures have not developed better TV software is beyond me. Noting most of us use smart phones that have very mature ecosystems, using the TV’s system is like going back 10 years! Anyway, enough ranting - WebOS is good. I tried calibrating the tv using the American settings for the UG7700 (American model) but the truth is that they were way too dark. I have my TV now just set on ‘Standard’ mode. Day 2. Hooked up a new Panasonic DMP-UB300EBK Native 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Player and watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Firstly, the Blu-Ray is well built but the spinning of the disk and tray are a bit loud. And no Wifi capability! But…the 4k movie playing is awesome! Wow. Every detail on Rocket’s fur can be noticed. Colours are vivid. Very happy with the 4K movie playing. As I write this, my son is watching Lego: Batman the Movie, HD quality through Apple TV. Again, the picture quality is very good. More sharp than my previous Sony tv. Overall, while I wanted the LG B7 OLED, spending £2k on a TV is not yet within my budget. However, for the price I got this tv, it is definitely a steal. Would I pay the current circa £900? I would probably go with the LG 55SJ850V, so yes, this type of tv is worth circa £900-1000. Either way, I think 2017 is LG’s year and their partnership with Apple (I have their beautiful Ultrafine 4k monitor) should mean better things are to come. Comme toujours très satisfaite de mon achat, facile à installer, à paramétrer, le rendu est parfait. J'avais beaucoup de crainte sur L’emballage, suite aux commentaires. J'ai été agréablement surprise, mon article ne craignait rien. Un achat que je recommande sans hésitation.

Quería cambiar la tele vieja, una de las de tubo, por un televisor plano. Quería un buen aparato, pero no quería gastarme lo que cuesta una OLED. Después de buscar un poco, encontré ésta que además tenía muy buenas críticas y me decidí. Me gusta porque tiene buena calidad de imagen y sonido y, además, es fácil de manejar con el control remoto y el sistema webos de LG. Por el momento no tengo ninguna pega que ponerle. Hecho de menos la forma de seleccionar algunas caracteristicas de mi antigua tele, pero es cuestión de acostumbrarme.

Un televisor con una calidad de imagen y sonido excelente. Además de tener muchas opciones como conexión a USB, PC, Internet.... Una de las opciones que más partido le sacamos es a la opción en sincronización con móvil o pc para poder ver las películas y fotos guardadas en esos dispositivos. Además de ello si vienes viendo un vídeo en Youtube tienes la posibilidad de ponerlo en el televisor desde el móvil sin tener que buscarlo ni parar el vídeo. Encantados con la compra. Envío rápido.
