Although I have set up a number of wifi cameras, this is my first home security system and it was a bit more challenging for me. The basic set up was easy enough using the user's manual. The base station connected to the 2.4 Ghz band of my WiFi without issue and I was able to add each of the components. I already had the Smart Life app and it found the device. Initially I had an issue of constant SOS alerts which ended when I went to settings and turned "Remote Alert Notification" off--no idea why the remotes would send any notifications but apparently they did. There aren't too many sensors so I placed two on the exterior doors and two on what I considered the most vulnerable windows on the first floor. They all operate as they should. I placed the motion detector so that it would pick up activity in a large bay window area on the first floor and it works well there. I may add more sensors. Both the remotes and the keypad work exactly as intended. I am not an Alexa gal so I added the alarm system to Google Home and, due to operator error, proceeded to go crazy trying to get Google Assistant to operate the system because "she" kept demanding a "pin number". After some frustration I discovered that she wanted the Google pin number (I had to set one up). YOU MUST ENTER THE GOOGLE PIN NUMBER IN THE ALARM SYSTEM SETTINGS!!! This goes under "Google Password" even though it is NOT your Google password. Nowhere could I find a way to get around having a Google pin number and we could discuss whether Google is one of the tech firms taking over the world but I simply don't care now that it works my alarm system. If you are a tech wizard you may not run into any issues, but I had to be dogged to get a good system operating perfectly. I live in far from quick law enforcement response so the very loud alarm is hopefully a deterrent to criminals and the alert on my phone is an unmistakable chime. I recommend this alarm system for the money and I am glad I have it.

It was easy to setup after I realized I had to hold buttons down for 3 seconds and that it connects to 2.4 WiFi. I pre-allowed all of the access on the app and my phone so it connected easily. It's pretty loud. I have it by a window so the alarm will alert my neighbors. I adjusted it to go off for 25 mins. When you learn how to set it up, you'll like it. Update: Still works great. Battery in one sensor went out but I replaced it. I noticed people say no app. Get the SMARTHOME app. I still trust my alarm. It is a great addition to my ring products and other security items. My house is like fort Knox. And be patient during setup. Read and follow instructions carefully.

I like that it is self monitoring, that is a plus, so tired of subscriptions and the cost of them. This system does provide a app to use, the app is sorta easy, but also gets stuck too, and you have to go out of the app and go back in. But allot of features that is useful. Putting this system in was not really user friendly because of the booklet, it is not great on explaining things. Also should include pictures of the way you should put up sensors, and the keypad, locations is a must to get a good coverage, and also what are the little screws for? I put all of it up with double-sided contact strips with the keypad. Just kinda different, then one of the sensors wouldn't work, troubleshooted and still not working. Contacted with email, no response at all from the company. So that is a loss of one, and I bought extra sensors for all my needs. Now I bought some more, hope they at least works. So kinda disappointed in it for installation yourself, the product will work well for my house, when I get more of it running. Would be great if you had videos on YouTube with all that you should do to start it up and placement of the products.

Its a must have if you have a need of a smart security system. Its quite easy to install and integrate with phone and Alexa/Google Home. I have found a lot of good features in this device. 1. It came with 4 door/window sensors (and double sided tape). 2. 1 motion sensor (works in dark as well). 3. Base station which has very LOUD siren speaker and lights (works as night lamp too if you want). 4. Can be controlled using Smart Life app, keypad or 2 keychain controllers. (I already had the app) 5. All components came with batteries. 6. The system is very responsive to sensors. No delay in alert if sensors detect an activity. 7. App allows you to handle the system remotely very well. 8. Entry Exit delay gives you a window to enter or exit without hitting the siren. 9. You can schedule as well to automatically set the mode to Home, Away or Disarmed. Using Smart Life app you can create scenes e.g. with a weather scene you can turn on the siren if it's raining. 10. Works flawlessly with Google Home. For home automation enthusiasts: For any DIY home automation projects also it can be used easily because for every event it sends a notification (configurable) and you can use it to trigger other devices. e.g. turning on/blinking your smart lights if an activity is detected by this system.
