Side Saddle 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell Holder | Compatible with Picatinny Mounting

Very sturdy and robust side saddle with good attention to detail on its finish. The mounting could not be more simple and easily holds shells. The only complaint that I have is that not all shells fit snug and this could be an issue with retention. Some other side saddles have rubber nubs or inserts that allow for adjustable retention but unfortunately this option is not here. Maybe V2, lol.

This WILL NOT fit the picatinny rail on a Panzer M4 without modifying. Others have mentioned the same issue. I’ll not going to knock the product because of this. I was able to modify my rail to fit this with some gentle grinding on 2 of the rail slots. Highly suggest blue Loc-tite when securing. Product seems well made, mounts are aluminum with 2 screws per mount. Extra screws are included. The shell holders are plastic but do firmly hold. I’m sure the majority of weapon owners will have no issues installing this.

This thing is durable. Installed in minutes. Made my shotg%n look badass. Function is great. Holds shells tight but not too tight. For the price you just can’t beat it.

I was confused when I received the item, because the instructions were not very clear. Your first instinct is that the device is made to be "loosened & slid on, then tightened down." That is absolutely not the way. The removable locking tabs on the opposite edge of the shell storage, each secured by two bolts, must be removed from the device. Then, you lay the device on top of the Picatinny Mounting rail, & apply one bolt to one of the locking tabs to start tightening it down. Even then, you'll still think "it's not going to fit!" Be patient! Tighten it down, but not all the way, then move to the second bolt on that same locking tab. Tighten it, again, not all the way, then move to the other end & repeat the process on the other end of the device with the second locking tab. Once you have the last of the 4 bolts loosely secured, you'll see that the device has "locked down" to the Picatinny Mount as intended and is nearly flush & flat with the top edge. Just go back then & re-tighten all 4 of the bolts all the way, alternating from one end to the other, until all are all the way tight. You'll find the device will be locked down, in the groove, flat & level, & installed the way it should be. Looks great, & now I have quick-reload capability. This is my home-defense Mossberg 500 HF Tactical, & having 6 extra shells quick-at-hand can be the difference between life & death in a home invasion or home-defense scenario.

This item is designed well, however all pic-rails aren’t made equally. On a Bull Tec Escort 12 Gauge Pump action there are 12 grooves on the upper rail. It requires 13 grooves for this side saddle to fit correctly based on its length. Good enough reason to buy another Shotty to place this on.

Good fit. Holds shells well. Happy with this accessory. Recommend for Mossberg 500.

Does not match pictures, will not work. Contacted Monstrum, only to get blown off ask for call back. Never happened, poor support and service.
