Working well so far.
I purchased a used Volvo a few months ago and found that the key fobs were very unpredictable - sometimes the worked and sometimes they didn't. I didn't replace the whole unit , just the keypad part and, so far, after several weeks, they are still working well. Better than paying a few hundred quid for a genuine Volvo key fob.

Cheaply made but effective
If your fob is just worn out, this product is ideal because you only need the front face (with buttons). The new back and blank key blade can be discarded. It's very easy to remove the old face and snap on the new one (leaving the circuit board, battery etc undisturbed). Worked perfectly for me, and so much cheaper than any Volvo dealership alternative. The product overall however is of inferior quality, for example the key blade is retained with a plastic catch unlike the steel Volvo original.
