I've used a lot of chairsaws in my life, however....
This is the absolutely best chain saw I have ever purchased and had the pleasure of using! It is quiet. It stays cool. It is sharp. It is not too heavy or burdensome. The 60 volt battery just keeps on providing power.Gone is the day of large and hot ear protection devices. The blade cuts tree branches like a hot knife through butter. The 16 inch bar is easy to manuever where it's useful. There's no hot muffler to get burned on. There's no exhaust to make your eyes burn, nor inhale.I used it for over a half hour straight, trimming branches from live trees, and the battery level indicator still had one bar remaining. I previously purchased the Cat string trimmer, and the battery lasted over a hour. So I will use that battery as a backup power source, if and when the battery goes dead before I do!

Excellent chainsaw
I've cut down a 16 in diameter pine and some other trees of 4 to 12 in diameter, totally no problem. Cuts like a knife through butter. Only complaint is that the battery lasts for a good hour of work, and recharges in 90-120 minutes. As a homeowner, that's no problem, I can wait and finish the job later, but if you're a heavy user you'd want a few batteries pre-charged to get through a work day. Actually the oil tank which has integrated threads for the cap, the threads just stripped off without me putting a lot of force into it. CAT replaced it for free under warranty. If I bought it again, I would buy it from somewhere other than Amazon because I was apparently shipped an out-of-date model that's probably been sitting in a warehouse for 3 years. My replacement model is up to date.

Looks and feels good
It seems to be a good saw... charged it and used it on a few small logs only 4 feet long and still had a full charge so I put it up for a week . I went use it agine tried cutting the log the long way witch is hard for any chainsaw. Made 2 passes in a 2 foot section of log and it was dead ...it is powerful so it does a good job but I recommend buying 2 more batteries if you want to last all day without resting ...

I’m not a review guy
I run chainsaws at work often as i am a Lineman. I’ve used tons of different saws. At work recently we’ve been getting Stihl electric saws. I loved it so much I figured I’d buy one for myself. Till I saw the price. I would have paid the same price for a 14in bar Stihl battery powered that I paid for my 562xp Husqvarna. No way. So I was pretty much settled on the DeWalt version, but just couldn’t get past its looks. Randomly stumbled apon this CAT product and it was game over.THE PART YOU PROBABLY ONLY WANT TO READ-Great Saw-Battery life is probably 45 mins of constant cutting-Charger and battery is included, with that price you can’t find a better deal-16in bar is a perfect size for 90% of home owners-Easy to use and is relatively light-Takes about 1 min to assemble if you have half a brain cell-Only thing you have to buy on top of this is bar oil (8$)-Cuts better than most of my gas saws and the saw all together is just a well built product
