My kitten Ginger ❤'s This
This is a really wonderful set for having a lot of fun for kitty and you. I'm super impressed with this cat toy. The wand is like a mini fishing pole that telescopes to length for play, and collapses down for storage. The feathered heads are super controllable and twist and flutter as you fly them. You can turn them on a dime, do figure eights, and fly them an inch off the floor once you get used to manipulating them. The worms are fun too ... If you twitch the rod tip as you drag them across the floor (not carpet) they squiggle like snakes, which really intrigues my kitty's.When we first started playing with the toy and Ginger caught the 'bird' and was trying to 'kill it', I joked to her (myself) we were going to adopt a 'catch and release' policy ... and much to my surprise she let go of it when I told her 'No, dont kill the bird'. I praised her in the instant telling her she was a good girl for letting it go. So now when when we play when she gets the bird or worm I just have to say 'catch and release ... catch and release' and after a few tugs she generally lets it go. (Which I reinforce by praising her and telling her what a good kitty she is). A key to getting them to do this is to generally release tension on the toy ... if you tug harder you're just gonna get their instinctual reaction to clamp down harder with varying efforts to kill the caught prey. Teaching my kitten a 'catch and release' protocol with her toys will hopefully have several tangential benefits. First, it will lead to a longer survival rate for her favorite toy, and more importantly hopefully help dissuade her from killing every bird and bunny she catches. She goes outside with a harness and a long lead and still manages to catch whatever 'critters' that cross her path. I don't mind her dispatching mice too much, but I really don't want her hunting birds or bunnies. The birds, simply because we love birds, and the reason for not killing the bunnies is twofold: 1. She can catch an intestinal parasite from eating bunny & 2. They are just innocent and cute and it makes ME feel bad even though the neighbors that garden would probably love a few less rabbits raiding their gardens. Anyways thus is a really great cat toy ... probably the best I've ever bought. Ginger thinks its the bestest best best toy she ever had too.

Best Cat Toy Ever
This is my cat's absolute favorite toy. He loves all the attachments more than anything else I've bought for him and he carries them around the house consistently. Plus at the price of $10 (when some toys at the store cost $10 just for one feather attachment!) for everything involved it can't be beat. My main issues with cat toys in general is that they don't seem sturdy enough, because my cat will literally eat toy mice down to their plastic insides and they have to be immediately thrown away. With that being said regardless his toys will be destroyed because that just what he does, but these are the best because they come with so many with such a great price. I found my fishing rod held up pretty well despite his rough play, and once it did become obsolete I then just tied the toys to some shoestrings and continued on from there until the toys were also obsolete (which I then just buy another one of these). Either way I say it's well worth the buy.

Great toy for the price - I have bought it several times.
I have two cats, and they both love this toy. It brings us both great joy to interact together. I like that the end is replaceable. I've had other toys where the feathers get chewed off and then you just have a string on a stick. That is why this is great; when the feathers are gone, you can just replace the end. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I think the fishing line could be something tougher. The wand part has never broken on me, but my cats like to chew the fishing line. I keep buying it because my cats love the feathers, and as long as I don't leave it out where they can chew freely, the line is not broken. And since we know a little bit about fishing line, we have been able to fix it. One other thing that I noticed: There is one attachment that is on a swivel, so when you fly the feathers through the air it spins and the cats go nuts, but it is only one of the pack. I wish that all of the attachments were on swivels. Maybe I am now going into the crazy cat lady realm of trying to please my cats... but oh well. Bottom line, I like this product. You should try it. ~Jessica

Best wand toy we have found - great movement and durability.... loved by young and old cats
Feathers are pretty and the toys we got exactly matched the picture (down to the specific colors). Got our older, 18 lb cat even jumping around - which he needed! We have had 3-4 different wand toys, but this is by far the very best. I was worried it was too flimsy and would break, but now months later, after at least 30 hours of vigorous kitty play, the wand is just as good as new. The foam handle is a bit thick, but easier to hold on to than the little stick wands. We don't really use the retraction function - it doesn't stay retracted. Maybe if you stored it or needed to travel it would be a benefit. The string is a nylon fishing line and is perfect for "cat fishing" - as in it can bend and bend under any pressure from the cat without stretching or breaking. Also, it has a great bounce and quick movement that really challenges our younger cat (who is an impressive jumper/pouncer with this thing). We bought more of the worm toy - that is by far their favorite. The fluffy cat-tail one is their least favorite - probably more appealing to a slower cat, as it doesn't move quite as fast. The feather toys last about a week with our younger kitty, who has a tendency to just sit and chew on them. That is better than the 1-2 days we got out of the expensive "natural" deer hair toys we used to get.

Love/Hate
I love this wand because the fishing line is longer, it is my cat's favorite toy. He lights up for this one! I hate it because it usually only lasts for a month at the longest. The retraction sticks easy so it pulls out but wont go back in. The fishing line is the biggest issue because it renders the toy useless. The attachment for the line to the pole ALWAYS falls off. I have ordered this product 3 times. All of these problems happen each time. It is my cat's favorite wand so I buckle and buy it but I think last time was my last time. I can't keep buying a defective toy.

String quality can be better. Attached toys are very good.
The feather quality is good. My cats absolutely love it. However the string gave away and broke within a few days itself.
