Great case for a great price
Looks and feels much more solid. Replaced half the foam with polyethylene plank foam, added cut outs, and it is solid now . Holds my rifle and compact, with enough room for accessories. To add - additional mags for both guns, 200 bullets storage, sling, and vertical grip. Maybe a scope later down the road? Do note that if dropped or banged hard, the case will crack, but it does look like it can take a little bit of a beating. Also, the latches do come off now and then, but its no big deal - just pop it back in. Love the case so far. Best bang for the buck.

Hard plastic case that delivers for compact and adjustable rifles
I wanted a quality hard plastic case for my ar, this fit the bill.ProsWell made, easy to cleanHad the option to add a lock with sizable girthFoam holds rifle in place and case is wide enough to add optics and extra magsCase has the added option to include locking attachments with inQuality product from an industry leaderConsPlastic is somewhat brittle and has already crackedAttachments to secure rifle will ultimately destroy foam and require purchase of new foam if you change your weapon/ set upAlthough long enough for a collapsible stock, non collapsible stock and full length rifle will not fit in this case length wiseUltimately I'm satisfied with this case.

It's Pretty Good
The case is rugged when locked. The locks can pop out of their hinge configuration when trying to lock the case. If you pay attention to what you're doing when you lock the case it really isn't a big deal. Padding is average but good enough. I really like the customization included with the case. It allows you to strap down the components within the case so they do not shift or move during transport. There are also 10+ places around the case to attach a lock. Would buy it again, would recommend it. Hard to beat for the money.

Great product
The first one I got was missing two of the latches, and had to be sent back. Amazon made the exchange quick and easy. The second one is great if you are looking for a inexpensive case that well hold up this one should be considered. It has plenty of room and means to attache straps to secure your equipment.Over all I'm very happy with this case and would recommend it. It comes in 2 sizes make sure to measure and order the one that suits your needs.

Flambeau makes a better product for similar cost. Buy this case only if...
I could give this 2 stars or as much as 4 stars; so I settled at 3 stars. The only reason I have not returned it is it is the right size (the only size I could find for under $125 for my 40" AR15. The next case in this size costs substantially more (unfortunately, Flambeau doesn't make a 42" hard case). Biggest issue I have is the four hinges can pop off during the process of securing the case. Once the flimsy, plastic hinges are fastened, the case stays closed. But getting the hinges to do so can be difficult (there are several areas around the case for padlocks). Interior padding is OK. The case itself is OK but compared to a Flambeau, it's noticeably thinner/more flimsy.BOTTOM LINE: If you can find a Flambeau hard case in the size you need, buy it. This Plano case is the cheaply constructed alternative (and it shows).

Good choice
I looked at several rifle tac cases and I'm glad that I chose this one. Sturdy, easy to set up, and reasonably priced. My 9mm PCC fit in nicely, as well as several mags. Have yet to test how it does in wet weather, but it looks like it should keep contents dry.

Kind of junky
I bought a "USED, LIKE NEW" to save $10 bucks. During first use, falling apart. The clips that hold it shut kept popping off. Lid doesn't line up well, and doesn't seem very weather proof. I'll pay a little more for the next one I try. Just can't see paying $150+ for a plastic box.
