I was looking for otterboxes, but I couldn't pull the trigger. The iPhone 8, according to reviews, didn't fit so well in the Otterbox cases available for it. Reviewers stated that the iPhone 8 is just a tad larger than the iPhone 7. The rumor was that they did not update the cases, they only repackaged them into boxes that read it would fit an iPhone 7 or 8.I prefer the Otterbox Symmetry series, so I was looking for something that was like that. I also didn't want to carry around a brick.So that narrowed the field a lot in terms of cases that were sleek and single piece. The next thing I wanted was to ensure the back of the case was smooth because I like to use popsockets.After sorting through all the china crap that comes with looking for a case online, I decided that Speck's reputation and reviews fit my needs. The case fits smoothly around the iPhone 8 without any appearance of "muffin top". The only location that could look a little off is around the volume buttons. The divider between the up and down button seems to be poked out a bit, but I think you'd have to be compulsive like me about details to notice.Besides fit and being smooth, the next most important feature I like is the lip around the screen. It appears to be at least 1-1.5mm tall all the way around and has a nice sturdy feel about it. This allows me to set my phone face down on the desk. This is important to me because I feel it protects my phone and my privacy. By not being screen up, should something fall over onto it the case will distribute the impact and not the glass. It also keeps all those notifications I can't be without from being read by nosy neighbors in the office.The packaging it came it was really nice, too! I opened up the bubble mailer it came in and then slide the case out of their retail hanging box. Popped it off their molded form and onto my phone. No scissors, no sutures, no fuss. Too many of these come in suicide packaging that I need leather work gloves to open up.Other information you might find useful: All the buttons work as expected. My Anker, Amazon Basics and Apple charge cords all plug in perfectly fine and the cut out for the camera is the right size for the iPhone 8.This is in regards to the iPhone 8 (non-plus) and the SPECK CANDY SHELL without little grippers all over it.Also...in case you're wondering and I do wonder this when I read reviews anymore.I paid for this case with my own money and reviewed it. My reviews aren't for sale or marketing purposes. If this stuff sucks...I'd tell you.

Gorgeous case. I ordered this poppy red case for the new iPhone SE 2020 version. The blue isn’t as deep as the pictures indicate, but it isn’t a huge deal.Bezel is raised well, so when I set my phone face down for charging, my screen doesn’t touch the surface it is face down on. The blue area is rubbery and soft.I saw some reviews complaining about how slick this case is, but I attach ring holders to my cases, so that is not a deal breaker for me at all.Seems and feels sturdy. I don’t drop it often because of the above mentioned ring holders I apply to all phone cases.Fit is perfect- I’d initially gotten a case from the phone company I bought the phone from that claimed to fit a 7, 8, and the new SE, but it simply did not, and the bottom of the screen appeared to be fairly unprotected.I docked a star because it is just simply re-packaged as fitting an SE, but it has the cut-out for the headphone jack that the older models have that this does not, so it looks a little odd.I had an extremely hard time deciding on a case because it would seem that nobody except Apple actually made a case specifically for the new SE model, but simply repackaged old models and some seem to fit and some don’t.I can happily say that this case fits my phone wonderfully, but I do wish it were actually made for the model I have it on.I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a gorgeous red case that is sturdy- and I would recommend a ring holder to go on the back so that you minimize drops and slips!*I purchased this case after hours of agonizing research with my own money and have reviewed this on my own time! I enjoy writing reviews in the hopes that it helps someone decide if something is right for them or not.*

This listing is promoted to be an iphone 8 case. In reality, you are sent a case that is meant for the iphone 6/7. Now most would not see a problem with this since the phones are almost exactly alike but there is a difference. The iphone 6/7 has a headphone jack port where as the iphone 8 does not. So the case is covering up a little bit of the speaker.

I drop my phone regularly. I have purchased otter boxes and life proof cases that fell apart and broke at $50-$100 each. This is my second speck case and it’s a third of the price, holds up better and is smaller and lighter. I do use a glass screen protector, but I love this case and will never buy another overpriced case again.

Previously had another speck case, but after a few years and a number of drops the case had taken a beating. Ordered this one and I really like it, especially the color. Only downside for me is that the volume buttons and on/off aren’t open, they’re indentations. Feel like I have to use more pressure on them. Hoping I can get used to it.

Just arrived and looks just fine. Will purchase again from this seller. Like this because it has the rubber shock proof protection inside. Have had other types of phone covers but these are without a doubt the best. The guys at bestbuy had recommended we get these years ago for any cell phones and happy w my purchase.

I've had iPhones for a long time and have broken them over the years. Ever since I got the speck phone case, this is the only one I will use now. It is lightweight, not bulky, and protects your phone. I've dropped my phone multiple times and it never breaks (knock on wood). It does not have a front cover on it but still when you drop it the corners of the phone case some how protect it.

Unser Sohn brauchte für sein iPhone 6 eine neue Schutzhülle. Die alte Hülle hat das zeitliche gesegnet. Ein Glück, das es sie gab. ;-) Nun haben wir uns wieder für eine Speck Hülle entschieden.Diese umfasst das iPhone von allen Seiten und hat keine "offene" Stellen, wie manch andere Hülle. Besonders unten bei den Anschlüssen ist dies wichtig. Die Zugänge sind passend ausgespart. Einzig die Aussparung für die Kamera ist in wenig groß. Das liegt aber auch an der Tatsache, dass die Hülle auch für das für die 7er und 8er Modelle geeignet ist. Das Material ist fest und innen weich ausgepolstert. Vorne hat unser Sohn eine Schutzfolie drauf. Auch da macht die Hülle keine Probleme. Ein wenig störend finden wir die Klavierlackoptik. Man sieht jeden Finder darauf und es wirkt ein wenig zum "aus der Hand" rutschen.Nun ja! Es soll ja keinen "Schönheitswettbewerb" gewinnen, sondern nur das Gerät Schützen und dafür ist es soweit in Ordnung.

These cases are fantastic. They are the only brand of case I will buy. I love the raised edges, the one time I bought a case without the raised edges my screen end up trashed. Since then I haven’t gone back to anything else. Speck always has a great variety of colors, they can be wiped down (which when you have kids or have jobs where the outside of your phone is exposed to lots of germs or sticky things that’s a huge benefit...or during flu season). They also last one to two years before having any issues (sometimes the bottom or where the charging port is the plastic/silicon breaks or cracks, doesn’t effect the ability of the case to do it’s job, just looks less esthetically pleasing. Not all of the Specks I have had do this, just the ones since I’ve had kids). Since most people replace their phones every 1-2 years it basically lasts the life of your phone. I bought a new one at the 2 year mark with my current phone and now finishing off year three I’ll probably get another 6-12 months out of this case before it starts to be too cracked at the bottom for my taste and I’ll replace it.

Have only had this a few months. It looks like I’ve had it for years. I’m not hard on my phone at all but I noticed very quickly the silicone was permanently stained and the case has lots of scratches all over it. I would recommend or buy again. The only thing it’s done is keep my phone safe but otherwise I will be replacing the case yet again bc it looks so gross :(

No me fijé bien en la foto y el borde es de color azul, no sé por qué pensé que era negro, a lo mejor porque el que reemplazó este era rosa y borde negro. Me decepcionó que el rojo tan bello y brillante se rayara fácilmente, pero ese defecto sólo se ve si lo pones contra luz.Punto a favor, es tan resistente como el que me compré antes. Esta funda es un seguro de vida para tu celular, sobretodo si tienes hijos pequeños que se les pueden caer de las manos las cosas
