I have heard about Rev. Higuchi for years, but never knew her whole story. This book is an amazing insight into her life, her beliefs, her challenges and her love of humanity. "Johrei" is a Japanese word which means "purification of the spirit" \. Johrei also is a form of healing of the physical body, once the spiritual body has become free from distortions, negativity, and debilitating emotions. This is an outstanding book in understanding how life works.

Ms. Higuchi talks about the practice of faith in everyday life. She was a gifted teacher who was able to explain spiritual principles to people of many different religious and cultural backgrounds. I always find something new in this book every time I pick it up.

Reverend Higuchi was a Christian, chosen by Johrei's founder, Meishu-sama to bring the movement to the United States. This is her life and experiences on the path of light. She was very loving and compassionate. Her life is a testament to the power and compassion behind the light of Johrei.
