Money worth spending
If you are an avid computer user, this is the thing you need. I was with the perception, what would an expensive keyboard bring to the table over anything with buttons. What you miss: 1. I have the brown keys, I type on it like a breeze. The buttons you can actually feel when they get activated (hard to decribe in words) and it then also pushes your finger upwards ready for the next one... 2. Once you get the hang of it, each and every button is well separated yet close enough that you rarely miss-type. 3. Brown switches are decently quiet but do give you the very satisfying tickity tack as you type your way to a less stressful experience of retyping your error prone codes. These should basically be mandatory in offices. 4. Custom shortcut keys. The power of not lifting your hand over to the mouse for the entire duration of the 3 hr coding session and find the right code in stackoverflow and chat GPT is just empowering! will make you feel like a pro even when your entire code is done by Chat GPT. FN+V, you open your vscode, FN+G, google in new tab, FN+C, chat GPT in another. 5. Custom per key RGB lights, might sound only gamer frinedly gimmick, but I am not a complete touch typer so I put the F, J and numpad 5 with fast color blinks so that I know where to put my finger in half a glance. 6. Small things like "is the capslock on?" (during passwords -_-), "oof, the numlock is off" are gone. You see it right on the display up top. 7. Yes, I game too, and custom profiles for each game means I can just set all the button used in the game in one color. the lock windows button on top is super helpful too! spending time making cutom color layouts is a great time pass in itself. 8. The volume contol is such a nice addition, its super smooth and I do use it quite often when I WFH. If I could take this keyborad to office (which I do not, out of shame of people who do not understand the importance of this would be like...), the music sometimes I play to block office noise can be adjusted, again without lifting my hands off the keyboard! 9. Do not underestimate the arm rest's role in the user experience and longevity of typing sessions. 10. As you might have guessed, yes I type all this on it... love it! CON: The switches are not hot swappable.

Lousy Software
I was happy enough with the keyboard initially but the Corsair iCue software is absolute garbage. The RGB settings keep getting reset and half the time the software doesn't even recognize the keyboard. Worked fine for 9 months and now stopped working. The software won't detect the keyboard at all. It appears to be a hardware fault. Having gone through Corsair support and checked numerous forums, it would appear that this is a really common problem. The keyboard just stopped working for no apparent reason and there is no way to fix this. It's basically a defective product but the manufacturer won't acknowledge it. For a keyboard that is so expensive, this simply isn't acceptable.

Awesome for the price point. I did put prints on the qwerty zone, the number line, and the arrow keys (you only need one central print on the three point keys, exception is the space bar, use three there). This is replacing my old beat up K57 that I got for $20 at Target on clearance probably 5 years ago. I tried a K55, very unhappy with that for multiple reasons. IMO, the mechanical keys are... Gimmicky. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of haters are lining up... But I have had an enormous amount of experience with over two dozen keyboards, at least ¾ of which were various mechanical type keying. These work great, but they are loud, hence the need for o rings. All things considered, I have never had a problem or complaint about old school keying. Some membrane types aren't great, but a lot are just fine. I mainly got this to keep my 50 or so advanced RGB configs for various software and games running. Can't do that with the k55, it must be an RGB pro type like the k57 or k70. At the end of the day, this is a great keyboard if you either tolerate the noise or dampen it with o rings. Looks great, feels great, since I have literally almost 100% Corsair components on my series 2 build, ICue is basically home for me, so the customization is immaculate as far as being seamless and easy. I believe this is THE best customization platform as far as dynamic lighting for the average enthusiast user, and this is coming from a hardware engineer who fiddles with EVERYTHING. 9/10, minus one for noise

I did a lot of research on keyboards. I am glad I did because this one delivers. Typing is easy, crisp and fast. It looks beautiful with many LED lighting options without having to download anything. I wish there was a calculator button but I guess this isn't a common thing for gaming keyboards. I actually use mine in my home office and the fact that it is quiet (relatively speaking) is good for home use. I have been using it for a few months now with no issues to report so far.

I never had a mechanical keyboard before. So I did a lot of research. A first, I thought I could buy a full-size decent model at about 100 S$ (80S$), but it soon became clear that latency and built quality were issues with cheaper models. At the end it came down to Razer Black Widow 4 versus Corsair K70 RGB Pro. I finally opted for the Corsair, because of the programmable keys of the Razer on the left side may be confusing when typing and for overall quality. Luckily, none of the ping noise reported in some reviews is present in the Corsair. Edit: I actually have to correct myself, after working for a while with the keyboard I do hear that ping sound. But for me it's no deal breaker.
